I'm a bit new to this and would really appreciate some advise on buying from a private seller in US and any import charges etc.
I've bought a couple of pieces from a guy in America, the value is around $800 shipped, I'm not sure they have posted to UK before so any advise, experience of this would be great.
He mentioned: tax code, reference code, import tax.
I'm sure there is tonnes of experience on this forum.

This will result in you getting import duties of 5% VAT instead of 20% VAT.

AWB# is the tracking number.

buying from USA, tax / import charge advise, by Deleted on Jul 20, 2014 15:35:24 GMT 1, Yeah, unless youre ready to add a tax ID, etc. I mark "Gift" and insure/claim to the fullest price you can prove (Reciept, insurance, whatever). Ive lost 2 pieces and learned not to mess around with claiming or packaging. One had a boot mark right in the middle of the box
