Also pretty much all the shows are standing room only, some have some "grassy" (often artifical) to sit at, otherwise there is the big dollar cabanas at the main stage.
I went last year and it was a blast. I wasn't really into street art at the time and remember seeing the d*face and thinking well thats kinda cool ha.

It actually isn't really an art or mural festival, its a music festival that just happens to have a few murals being done. Its part of an urban revitalization plan that has been going on for the past few years for the actual downtown of Las Vegas aka not the Strip. Tony Hsieh the guy that sold Zappos shoes to Amazon has pretty much single handily decided to under take this project and really has been doing a pretty good job at it. I know when I first moved here the areas I go drinking now was a no go due to homeless and crime rates.
