ebay question, by WOOF on Oct 21, 2014 15:10:31 GMT 1, So I sold a print last night to a buyer in Norway. This morning, I received this message:
Am I still covered if I send the buyer a paypal request for the full amount of the print plus fees and shipping but don't go through the ebay global shipping program I had set the auction up for?
Thanks in advance.

ebay question, by WOOF on Oct 21, 2014 16:13:55 GMT 1, You'll be covered as if it were a person to person sale paid for via Paypal. If you want full coverage via Ebay you'll need to agree with the buyer to cancel the sale and relist it without the global shipping option. Pardon my ignorance, but can you explain what the difference in coverage is?
Thanks!
D

ebay question, by WOOF on Oct 21, 2014 16:48:46 GMT 1, Yawn, I put them on ebay, didn't flip them to people here. Sold the Maya to afford a bigger, more rare Maya. Selling the unveiling to help fund the Miller.
What exactly are you complaining about?

all of the above."
"In person, the OG this print is based on looked incredible. A lot of people said it was the best in the show. That's why people want it, it is that awesome. "
"Went from being a consolation to a bonus. I much prefer bonuses haha
That is what you wrote a few weeks ago after being LUCKY enough to get the CHARITY print.
So FLIPPING is o.k. as long as its on ebay?

ebay question, by WOOF on Oct 21, 2014 17:12:06 GMT 1, You're missing the point. I love the print, it IS awesome. The fact is, I love the other print more. A lot more.
And since I own the print, I can and did choose to sell it. Why are you so butt hurt over how my opinions about art change? Are you saying I'm not allowed to rethink purchases I've made? At the time I bought it, I had EVERY intention of framing. But this is a more exciting opportunity for me, and that's literally all that matters.
And for the record, I never said don't flip. I have qualms with people who are only on the forum to do that. The ones that try to sell things with their first post.
That not a good enough reason for you? guess what - Your opinion couldn't matter less to me.

Kudus to you for knowing how to command that dollar.

For the record, I made an offer on the print and he contacted me offering to sell it at a good price. The only reason I did not purchase is because I made a deal on a much more expensive print and decided not to spend more on art till next month. I also picked up the Unveiling print from another forum member who made me a nice deal with a little mark up. Things are not always what they seem.

I would be curious what a good price is, considering it was listed on ebay for ยฃ600+, or over double cost, less then a month after the show

ebay question, by Deleted on Oct 22, 2014 7:37:23 GMT 1, Listen to Geester, avoid the Global Shipping thing like a plague... It was created by eBay as an incentive for sellers afraid of selling abroad. As a buyer you have evrything to loose as Geester explained it because it is send to main distribution center and opened, packed, repacked which sucks at all levels. So subsequently, buyers are also avoiding items with Global Shipping.
I know it because I did a bidding on such item, then ask the seller to cancel it because of the high shipping fee. That seller told me it was impossible to cancel these... Don't know if he lied or if it is true.
