Banksy "Welcome To Hell" Framing Ideas?, by valentina on Oct 30, 2014 20:40:29 GMT 1, Hey guys,
So I just purchased "Welcome to Hell" u/s from a fellow forum member. I am having a hard time with the framing! I took it to CMM Framing in Chicago (great spot) and went over a few ideas with the owner but I am having a super hard time visualizing the finished product. I thought a cool/ornate, tarnished gold/brass frame with an off color white background and WTH floating would look great. Now I am having second thoughts. I saw that pic of the Girl With Balloon (urbanartassociation.com/thread/122546/dodgy-framing) and I got freaked out. The paper color/style of WTH and GWB is similar, and my print was actually rolled in a tube for a few days. I think that GWB looks horrible! So now I am thinking about changing all the framing around - maybe matte over?
So I guess - does anyone have any of the Placard Rats already framed that they can show me for ideas? I am just curious what other forum members have done with these prints.
Great appreciated
John

Banksy "Welcome To Hell" Framing Ideas?, by Dave on Oct 30, 2014 22:55:09 GMT 1, I always prefer prints with non deckeled edges to be matted. I think it looks more finished. I'm also digging more ornate frames these days as well. I'm sure it will look great no matter what you choose though. Just my 2 cents.
