original street art piece for my Mom, by Deleted on Dec 5, 2014 3:24:45 GMT 1, So my mom really wants a street art piece for Christmas or her birthday or something (not really sure, I think she just wants one) and is trying to have my Dad purchase something for her, but trying to figure out the best fit given price range and what she is looking for.
It seems like she wants an original piece of street art (i.e. not a print) and for it to be around 2ftx3ft in size. I'm assuming her budget is below $2,000, which clearly eliminates most well-known artists, but if anyone has anything available I would be very interested in checking it out (and maybe purchasing it by proxy for my Dad).
Definitely interested in any Borondo originals as I think that would stand out (and the price range can have some wiggle-room), but other recommendations are also welcome (i.e. Faile originals, since those have an aesthetic I think she'd like and I know my Dad also likes Faile). Would have to be somewhat 'girlfriend-friendly' as my Mom isn't really into the visceral, but let's hear some suggestions!

Good point---most of my favorite pieces of hers are smaller but I saw that she had, at least, one larger canvas that was about the right size.

His prints are all hand stenciled so they are pretty much like OGs, and his images are usually family friendly. I picked up one his splash pieces for my mom earlier this year and she loves it!
