Well you can double your 1500 for starters !

And then probably only silver flags.

Not saying that's the new value. In my opinion a realistic price for buyer/seller would be something north of £2k.

Edit : Imo Applause is probably worth 2500/2750 GBP plus COA in Mint condition already. (No i don't own one)

A Banksy for under £1,500, by Dr Plip on Dec 13, 2014 10:12:40 GMT 1, I always thought I'd be able to buy a badly damaged Banksy print (like torn in half or something), but they don't even seem to pop up. A creased flag is probably the best bet now. That's not too bad though. Flags have creases and it wouldn't be street if it was mint. I hope you find something.

A Banksy for under £1,500, by Deleted on Dec 13, 2014 10:17:07 GMT 1, Flags should fit in that 1500 budget easy i reckon. Mint condition flags is probably worth 1250 / 1500 GBP on a good day. I would say 1000 GBP when it has some small minor issues. (Yes i own one and no it is not for sale.)

A Banksy for under £1,500, by avec art on Dec 13, 2014 23:14:34 GMT 1, I turned up at 7:00 am to POW to try and get in the queue for a 'choose your weapon' print, I queued for a while and it later emerged that staff had gone around at 5:00 am giving out special tickets to people who had stayed up all night meaning that they could come back at anytime to purchase a print or more. So those people went back off to bed. Everyone else was told to go home because they had no chance anymore. Some people like myself who didn't get a ticket were really pissed, and I remember meeting a couple who'd come all the way from Germany. I think this was to be one of the last print releases to date. This is a photo I took from that morning. You can just about see some of the camping stools and sleeping bags that were strewn right up the street and around the corner were abandoned tents !!!

A Banksy for under £1,500, by avec art on Dec 14, 2014 0:58:12 GMT 1, .. hmm well that's what I'm admitting to. But I guess I wasn't the only douchebag, there was a whole street of us. I think it had something to do with the messages being put out by POW about the doors opening at 12:00, and about them giving an opportunity to people who make the effort to turn up rather than simply being fast on the button.

A Banksy for under £1,500, by avec art on Dec 14, 2014 1:06:28 GMT 1, Dude, I wasn't looking to offend anyone, just share the experience which was unique to me at least, and perhaps to hear of other peoples experiences. I'm not complaining about it, if that's what you thought, I was in that part of town for other reasons anyhow. As far as queue jumping goes, I didn't jump any queue but stood at the back of the line like anyone would. Just that the line I stood in all had to leave ...ah never mind you're only gonna get meaner, my bad.

A Banksy for under £1,500, by melize on Dec 14, 2014 7:19:35 GMT 1, I've got a poster and a couple of postcards which I love, but there's still something about having a print of his that has such a strong appeal to me. I'll keep my eyes open for a Flag. Thanks for the help Would ANY Banksy print do ? How long have you been feeling this way? What is the appeal about owning "any" Banksy print? It seems that you have an ailment that is becoming increasingly common on the forum. GLWTS!

Without wishing to give advice, I think that 7 am was a reasonable time to make the tail: I find it stupid to queue from the previous day in the evening, or even since a week or 15 days (this makes me think its fans of Star wars, the Iphone 6 or Apple, the manga mania Japanese for a new release, The Black Friday, the sales, commercial things, etc... all bulls**t) even for Banksy (and you know that I love Banksy) !
Is a thing of youth or flippers to queue from the night before, it is inhuman and a little ashamed or even stupid: Besides, there is nothing honest or real in this kind of tail, young people or poor people or tramps are paid £100 or less to queue for rich collectors or galleries, when Dickens rhymes with dick heads ). I was also a fan when I was young and I queued under the snow until 2 o'clock in the morning (I was working the next day at 7 am at the RAH and I went to bed at 4 o'clock, returning walk from Piccadilly to Acton town, I had no money to pay me a taxi), just to see Bowie ten seconds out of his car at " La Première " of Just a Gigolo. The photo is in the instamatic, this deserved to be ill during one week ?
* Never again : no stars deserve such a sacrifice! We are all stars and we are all dust - to be polite - too.
Signed Royston still Anarchist !

A Banksy for under £1,500, by Lroy on Dec 14, 2014 10:13:15 GMT 1, Ps : Waiting for a cause, for a concert or in a music festival is another thing, I just speak about long queueing for commercial or bizness things. I found a funny article in Wilkipedia lol :
" Queueing theory is the mathematical study of waiting lines, or queues.[1] In queueing theory a model is constructed so that queue lengths and waiting times can be predicted.[1] Queueing theory is generally considered a branch of operations research because the results are often used when making business decisions about the resources needed to provide a service.

A Banksy for under £1,500, by avec art on Dec 14, 2014 10:49:15 GMT 1, I didn't get one, but it was interesting witness such phenomenon on that scale. Which is why I took the photo and was initially happy to share it here. Long gone are the days where you could turn up to their old print shop with an invite and be offered a signed soup can screen print for £100. I also heard about people being paid money to queue all night, which does make the whole thing a bit unfair. Great photo of Bowie btw

A Banksy for under £1,500, by Lroy on Dec 14, 2014 11:07:22 GMT 1, I am really an idiot !!! I foolishly confused Dickens and Beckett ! I wanted to talk about these rich persons who exploit the poors or the children since the dawn of time. And I could also mention Zola, Balzac, etc... Sorry, my English friends. I should talk French on this forum.

A Banksy for under £1,500, by Lroy on Dec 14, 2014 12:55:51 GMT 1, Yeah, it would. I'm a very rational person and generally feel I have a good perspective of what is important in life, so do feel this desire goes against my nature. But it is there. I first found out about the prints after Stop and Search, so it's been since then. Missed out on all the releases since and never felt I could afford the secondary market prices. But now that it's becoming clear he won't release any more, I've accepted that's the only chance I'll have. I feel very whiny typing this and realise it's the definition of a first world problem Take a deep breath..........forget the Banksy...........get something by Paul Insect. #whileyoucan Yeah ! The first print that I bought ( when I know about street-art and after seeing Exit ) was the target by Paul Insect ! And I am still very happy ( I bought 2 books too of PIn ) ... I still don't understand why this print is not sold out yet ?! ;.. My regret ( one of the best print ever ! ) is The Clockworth ( etc.. ) , but I had no chance when I tried to buy it at POW.. Sold out in seconds.
Hi lonelyfarmer, How are you ? Can you see me ? Happy sunday mate !
