Pictures on Walls (POW), by Neate Michael on Jan 13, 2015 10:52:50 GMT 1, It was an even quieter Xmas than I expected from Pictures on Walls. (I thought they may do the odd print).
Reading that document that somebody wrote on POW, would it be fair to say with the main players like Eine, Banksy, Steve Laz, all scattered across the globe, and doing their own thing, that POW is now just a part time job for the few that are left, and one day soon we may see it close it's doors entirely?
Or can we expect 2015 to be the year that POW roars again, publishes a few Banksy prints, has a Dran exhibition, and a Xmas show?

It's 10:00am on the 13th of January. Little early to be thinking of Christmas.

Pictures on Walls (POW), by alexdb on Jan 13, 2015 11:04:50 GMT 1, It almost seems like its only an online gallery nowadays. Not sure what's going on, but I don't think they will close their doors. Probably it needs some new boosting, fresh employees perhaps. It would be a pity if POW will stop, but I just wish it would be a physical gallery again.

Pictures on Walls (POW), by Dr Plip on Jan 13, 2015 13:11:22 GMT 1, I'd be happy with more posters. Cheap, open-ish editions. Funds to charity or Banksy's Cayman Island Wildlife Trust or whatever.
Edit: Printed on recycled paper, using eco-friendly inks, in a factory that only uses organic, sustainable, carbon-neutral employees.
(I'm all for buying stuff, but let's not f**k up the planet)
Edit: He says, while typing on a laptop made by toddlers.

Pictures on Walls (POW), by alexdb on Jan 13, 2015 13:32:23 GMT 1, Hmm, so the real question was if Banksy would produce another print? Or am I missing something? POW produced more works then only Banksy prints.

I could not really care less if POW made more Banksy prints. That conversation is just a by product of the main thread. One would tend to think yes, Banksy will make more prints, but when, where and how much would be guessing. It would be odd if he never did. And he has made prints since the last POW ones, just not at a price point that many here could afford.
I would love to see POW, do some cool art shows, and find more great artists. Dran was probably the last good find.

Sales get a helping hand as banksy used to be listed there and at the time all prints listed around when banksy was listed used to flip easily , as with the whole scene , and a lot of artists at the time listed in high profile auctions , everyone wanted the next banksy , fast forward a few years and no ones came close.

Pictures on Walls (POW), by Deleted on Jan 13, 2015 14:41:59 GMT 1, shame on POW for not chaining Banksy to a desk and making him churn out new stencils and not selling them for a pound each to bullies who shove polite people out the way who queued up for hours to buy one.
Shame on them.
and shame on the idiots who want a Banksy just for the name who know nothing about art or the art market.

Pictures on Walls (POW), by alexdb on Jan 13, 2015 15:59:14 GMT 1, Thanks for the link. It's a shame he's doing/done this for VIPs only. Bit elitist Well, he can't release a print of GBP 450 anymore, can he? The minute the release is open, it will be on sale with prices of GBP 7k or higher on several websites.

Pictures on Walls (POW), by Deleted on Jan 13, 2015 16:18:14 GMT 1, He can produce prints at 450 £ each.
Just make the editions bigger.
make an edition of ten or a hundred thousand.
Price em at 500 each and flog them all eventually.
I doubt they will go up by much and £500 x 100, 000 is enough to buy a new bicycle with.

What utter twaddle !!! Snobbery attempts to rise once again If you're solely into the art and not the artist per sé head to Hyde Park and buy some beautiful pieces by unknown artists who shamelessly moonlight as carpenters and builders by day.

Or can we expect 2015 to be the year that POW roars again, publishes a few Banksy prints, has a Dran exhibition, and a Xmas show?
Steve laz sold his shares in POW, Hewlett has the most shares, and banksy must have shares? They all make more money selling banksy OG's via pest control in auctions and to private clients there must be so many OG's us nobody people on her havent seen..This is what creates boosts banksy wealth each year.

It's not snobbery,
It's like fashion victims who only buy what some celeb wears.
Surely the snobbery is the people who are only interested in the brand not the product?

Pictures on Walls (POW), by Deleted on Jan 13, 2015 20:40:42 GMT 1, I heard a rumor that POW is taking every remaining print they have left in stock after March 31st, cutting them up, and making the world's biggest collage on a building in the West End.
then they're going to knock the building down and sell the bricks and stones at auction sometime in late August

I hope Banksy keeps churning out OG's for Laz to sell on his behalf.
Wonder if he will do a Hirst one day and have a massive Sothebys style sale.
