TV commercial/spot with street art - are these real or fake?, by Someones Brain on Feb 17, 2015 13:45:09 GMT 1, I just saw that Hyundai spot on tv and it has some street art in. Does anyone know whether they used the art with permission and/or whether it is by the real artists. Some of these pieces look familiar, e.g. the faces painted on a wall with real trees as their hair, the tall woman, the green tentacles (Filthy Lurker?) or the swimmer (Slinkachu?), but I cannot put names on all. Can anyone help with more information. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I hope posting YouTube links is O.K. If not, please feel free to let me know or remove it.

TV commercial/spot with street art - are these real or fake?, by Feral Things on Feb 17, 2015 14:18:31 GMT 1, Filthy Luker, Pedro Estrellas, Little Tu and JPS all worked on the advert so their work is obviously used with permission but I'm not so sure about other artists. The scissors cutting along the road marking is very similar to a Roadsworth piece (and I can't imagine in a million years that he'd consent to his work being used to sell cars) and the street light glasses is by Pasha 183 (who died a couple of years ago). I'll have a proper watch this evening and see who the other artists might be.
EDIT: It turns out that I'd seen a slightly different version of the advert which is here but the above still applies i.e. tentacles by Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, swimmer by Little Tu and stencils by JPS; I'm guessing the giant women was done in post-production.
Here's P183's street piece and a still from the advert:
And here's Roadsworth's street piece and a still from the advert:
I'm a big fan of Roadsworth's work and I used to love seeing photos when his work was popping up on Montrรฉal's streets on a weekly basis. It's a shame to see his ideas being used for the exact opposite of what he'd originally intended. If anyone doesn't know Roadsworth's work then I'd highly recommend the 'Crossing The Line' documentary about him:
