KIDULT - A.P.C "N*GGAS" attack, by Happy Shopper on Mar 6, 2015 17:25:39 GMT 1, From Kidult's Instagram today:
I guess this is some kind of statement about Jean Touitou's "Last N*ggas in Paris" thing. www.highsnobiety.com/2015/01/27/last-niggas-in-paris-apc/
Just attention seeking vandalism? Is it really highlighting a story that people didn't already know about? Did Jean Touitou intend to be racist? (I don't think so)
Will this thread descend into a crazy slagging match? Probably... let's try to keep it civilised!

KIDULT - A.P.C "N*GGAS" attack, by sgolby on Mar 6, 2015 17:46:53 GMT 1, Sorry folks, but let me be the first to say that the title "Last Niggas in Paris," coined by a French Tunisian Jew is no Bueno. This coming from a Brooklyn Moroccan Jew, who grew up with and around the word being used with such frequency that it ocassionally escaped my mouth as a teen and young adult when referring to my homies. That said, whenever I said it I was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable in the immediate moments after.
As for Kidult's sometimes Provocative but more often idiotic, in my opinion, Street art, it is almost always more self serving than anything else. This particular piece is offensive in many ways, not the least of which is the fact that there is a total disconnect or lack of resonance between the original incident and the writing, if you ask me. Granted it is women's Fashion Week in Paris and he thought this is when it would garner the most attention. However everyone in Fashion knew about this incident already. Hence Kidult should maybe produce some good stuff in order to gain attention and not ride on the coattails of world events and other peoples missteps. To me he is no better than a tabloid journalist.
