Things to see in Paris, by Nick on Aug 16, 2015 13:17:47 GMT 1, Hi Guys,
Have a few days in Paris and want to check out their urban art scene. Anyone have any recommendations for galleries to visit or street pieces worth seeing? Obviously Invaders are everywhere and i might have a look at the map for those, but would really appreciate tips on anything else.
I'm sure this thread has been asked before but searching paris results in a hit from pretty much every day!
Cheers!
Nick

Things to see in Paris, by charles on Aug 22, 2015 15:41:41 GMT 1, Hi Nick, I was in Paris in early July and attended a multi artist show at le cabinet d'amateur in the 11th. The owner of the gallery introduced us to one of the artists in the show who spoke the best English, Codex Urbanus. It turned out that Codex also gives walking tours around Paris focusing on street art. Our family spent an entire day with him a couple of days later and it was absolutely brilliant. I've been to Paris many times and it was one of the most interesting and memorable days that I've ever spent there. He took us to many places that are well off the normal tourist paths. Please feel free to DM me if you'd like more details or would like his contact info. Cheers, Charles

Things to see in Paris, by charles on Aug 22, 2015 20:53:25 GMT 1, I understand. If you only have a short amount of time, then make sure that you check out the Gare du Nord. They invited a bunch of high profile street artists to do wall murals of their Quai 36 Project a few months back. This is not technically "street art" since it was done on an invitation basis, but it's some breathtaking stuff from some very high profile street artists that you can take in pretty quickly without causing too much fuss with your other traveling companions!

Things to see in Paris, by docean on Jul 15, 2016 2:02:50 GMT 1, why would galleries be closed for an entire month? (sorry if a noob question)
went to Paris last September and saw 3 Space Invaders (without actively seeking them out...so definitely easy to spot a few) and a really cool Eddie Colla (the one with the goldfish in the bag).
couldn't tell ya where the Colla was except somewhere due north of Notre Dame and near a bunch of brothels haha
