Art on a Postcard raises money for The Hepatitis C Trust. Our first event was held in November 2014 at Whitfield Fine Art with works by well-known artists including Damien Hirst, Gilbert and George, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Marc Quinn, Jeremy Deller, Harland Miller, Cecily Brown, Gavin Turk. and emerging talent such as Hannah Hewetson, Hayden Kays and Cosmo Sarson as well as urban art from Xenz, Hush and Pure Evil.
2015 sees Art on a Postcard doing a series of pop ups at Art Car Boot Fair and Moniker Art Fair. Our flagship, secret auction will be held at Soho Revue in November:

A ยฃ50 lottery ticket not only guarantees a postcard but also offers the very small odds of a one in two hundred chance of winning an extremely valuable and unique one off work of art.

Art on a Postcard | raising money for The Hepatitis C Trust, by Dungle on Oct 7, 2015 16:36:36 GMT 1, I think I may be being a bit slow here, but are there two events here?!
One with a lottery ticket via Moniker and then one like last years where you bid online?

Anyhow have done the lottery and will be after a couple in the proper auction too.

Art on a Postcard | raising money for The Hepatitis C Trust, by Agent Provocateur on Oct 7, 2015 17:44:01 GMT 1, Hmm if they just list the name in both then the artist probably did multiple cards and they have cards in both lottery and auction.
Buuut if the same card by the artist is included in both then I think that'll be a mistake! If this is true let me know and I can pass the discrepancy on to them.
I did notice Harland Miller was listed on the Moniker page but couldn't see his name or card pictured underneath.
How's that for muddying the waters!

How's that for muddying the waters! Especially after last year's HM s**t show. I think the idea is great, but poorly executed/run.

The raffle at Moniker is more straight forward, but I don't know anything about the auction this time.
I hav nothing to do with organising anything, just like to help them out by promoting the events a bit... and painting a few cards for them.

Art on a Postcard | raising money for The Hepatitis C Trust, by hackenbush on Oct 7, 2015 21:32:55 GMT 1, I don't think that they will ever beat the line up from the first event. I have seen the pieces on the Moniker site but to be honest there is only a couple of pieces worth ยฃ50 or over. But hey, it's a good cause so worth our support.

Art on a Postcard | raising money for The Hepatitis C Trust, by Deleted on Oct 17, 2015 0:20:02 GMT 1, Sadly, I don't think there's a cure for Hepatitis C just yet. And I think the trust provides support and assistance for people that are not just dealing with a Hep C diagnosis, but also the other long-term health problems that are caused as a result of Hep C. Plus other emotional and practical advice and support. There's probably lots more information about how the funds are going to be used and what the trust does on their website: Or AP might know a bit more about it. www.hepctrust.org.uk/ OOh, Doctor! Just to clarify fortunately there are very good meds for Hep C and as long as the patient is prepared to go on a long and arduous treatment plan for months they can indeed be cured. Incidentally a new hep c treatment was approved by NICE today. But people who contract hep c are more likely to be vulnerable and possibly drug dependent, so one would guess that this organisation would provide support to this group.

I was thinking more of a magic pill that fixes everything that goes with Hep C.

Art on a Postcard | raising money for The Hepatitis C Trust, by Jameszee on Oct 17, 2015 11:48:01 GMT 1, Awesome, have bought a couple of draw tickets!
Does anyone know if you can still get entry to Moniker tomorrow (as per the website) without the physical tickets in hand? Have e-mailed the trust too, but just in case someone on here knows the answer?

chads007 I saw your post this morning and thought I'd try and clarify if anything had changed with the lottery. I just got off the phone with Gemma (the lady from the HepC Trust organising everything) and she explained she'd been sent more cards than was originally planned.
So there are more than 200 cards in the lottery (around 250 I think) but it's still 1 lottery ticket for each card, so everyone wins (no one goes away empty handed).
I mentioned that I had started this thread and you'd questioned the ticket situation, so she asked if I'd do this post to explain the situation. She was extremely apologetic that she hadn't updated the number on the website, and understood it should have been done.
