solidARTy.org - art fundraiser project, by Jameszee on Nov 18, 2015 14:46:17 GMT 1, Well I'm glad to say that I have that warm fuzzy feeling of both donating to this cause, and picking up the fun little Marco Wagner piece last night!
sal, you have set up such a slick system for this event bud, would even put a lot of galleries to shame! Anyone on the fence about bidding shouldn't be, 100% painless. (except on the bank balance )
Got my eye on a couple of other bits too, so much awesome art available.

solidARTy.org - art fundraiser project, by sal on Nov 18, 2015 21:25:26 GMT 1, Thanks for the kind words Coach! Means a lot coming from someone like you. Lonac is actually gonna make a new piece for the auction so watch out for that one!
sakyamuni, Isaac piece is a lovely one. Very interested to see how many people love his exceptional work.
Jameszee thank you for the kind words and even more, thank you for trusting the project and placing your bids. You're awarded with a great little drawing by a very VERY talented and underrated artist.
warsaw project thanks for the kind words as well. And yes, this Sepe canvas is the bargain of the bunch so far. I didn't wanna play dirty and place any bids, but I'd be happy to own a piece like that from him at anywhere close to this price!

solidARTy.org - art fundraiser project, by Feral Things on Nov 22, 2015 17:42:53 GMT 1, That Fintan Switzer is an absolute bargain for such a talented artist and such a beautifully executed piece - it definitely deserves plenty of last minute bids. I was lucky enough to win one of the earlier auction and I've gotta say that the whole thing has been incredibly well organised; the website, payment and delivery couldn't have gone smoother. If anyone's dithering about registering and bidding then go for it - it's a bit of a no brainer really. As was noted on SoliARTy's Facebook page earlier in the week, it was only a couple of decades ago that European refugees were fleeing the Balkan Wars and it's great to see people doing something to help the desperate people fleeing the war in Syria and Iraq today. Escif's piece in the auction was used for a .gif that I thought was worth posting:
For ease of access, the website is www.solidarty.org/auctions/ Brilliant work, Sal!

solidARTy.org - art fundraiser project, by Dibbs 45 on Nov 22, 2015 19:46:43 GMT 1, I found it strange how the bid time changed. From 2 minutes to then go to 5 minutes. Who cares though more money to a good cause.

solidARTy.org - art fundraiser project, by sal on Nov 22, 2015 20:26:53 GMT 1, Thanks for the kind words Feral Things and congrats again on winning one of the strongest pieces in the auctions so far IMHO! Also, that .gif is awesome. Im hoping you wont mind if I share it around?
Congrats warsaw project for getting that Switzer as well. I was afraid someone was gonna get a silly bargain, but you guys made it obvious his work is worth a LOT more.

This was programmed intentionally and explained on the website - every time a new bid is added within 3 mins before the end, auction gets extended by another 3 mins. This way there is no last second bids and also, it feels more like an actual auction - it goes on as long as there are at least 2 bidders outbidding each other.
