FINOK original , by met on Dec 14, 2015 15:26:19 GMT 1, Although I don't have additional details about this particular original (e.g. if signed or accompanied by gallery documentation), I'm pretty confident kimble will follow up, either on this thread or via private message to those who enquired.
We've never met in person but I did purchase about ten books and magazines from kimble a couple of years ago when he was having a clear-out. These were hassle-free transactions and, in our written communications, I found him very pleasant and knowledgeable about graffiti.
--------
As for Finok, people interested in the Brazilian graffiti scene will be familiar with his work, both as a writer and fine artist. For those who've not yet discovered him, I'd encourage you to do some research. He's prolific, has been around 13 or 14 years, and has a distinctive fun style.
With their street pieces, I understand it's traditional for Brazilian writers to identify themselves by their tags and by colour as well. Finok is "the king of green" and a key member of the famous VLOK crew, whose members also include Os Gemeos (their street colours being yellow and red), Ise, Koyo, Toes and others.
In 2008, alongside Os Gemeos, Nina Pandolfo, Nunca and Zefix, Finok painted one of Sรฃo Paulo's most famous murals โ 680 metres along Avenida 23 de Maio. This was after city authorities had controversially buffed the previous mural (by Os Gemeos, Nina Pandolfo, Herbert Baglione and Vitchรฉ) which had stood there for six years.
In his 2014 book, A Love Letter to the City, Stephen Powers enthuses about Brazil and talks about painting with Finok and Toes. New Yorkers may have seen Finok's work in the Cruel Summer group show curated by Roger Gastman last year at Jonathan LeVine Gallery, where other invited artists included Shepard Fairey, Maya Hayuk, Cleon Peterson, Dabs Myla and Pose.
Sorrir e Chorar (Smile and Cry), Finok's solo show at Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan, closed less than three weeks ago after a two-month run.
This Crack & Shine video on Sรฃo Paulo is worth a watch for its insight into the local culture. It features graffiti, kite-flying, and rather dangerous-looking fire balloons (sky lanterns):

sounds unusual.
Still haven't been in town for an age - so perhaps the footfall in that part of the word is low in terms of ua collectors.
