life-and-death-sickboy A small matter of 'Life and Death' - Collectors Preview
Limited Edition Coffin Sculpture by artist Sickboy
Sickboy brings to life an iconic character from his visual vocabulary in 3D form. The artist's famed Coffin character has featured in paintings since 2010, bearing the grinning face and appendages which tip their hat to visual cues from cartoonists such as Max Fleisher.
This is the first sculptural release from the 'Save The Youth' stable since the now extremely sought after 3D Temple release of 2010. This collectors piece embodies a line in a visual vocabulary which Sickboy continues to develop across his fine art painting and gallery installations.
From the artist:
"There's little point for me living both comfortably and horizontally with the warm glow of a television beaming on to your face. To put yourself at risk socially, mentally or physically puts notches on the bedposts of life - pushing that idea to an extreme, you can come closer to look at the notion of death and laugh in it's face. If you're lucky, you can walk away with an increased gratitude for your life."

I like Sickboy's works. Have been for a few years. But I just feel that this particular release is priced rather highly...
