Donors pledge billions in aid for Palestinians, by corblimeylimey on Dec 18, 2007 12:31:28 GMT 1, Thanks for the link, nice to see the UK is right up there on the pledge list at $500m compared to the size of the US which is only pledging $555m.

Donors pledge billions in aid for Palestinians, by monstris on Dec 18, 2007 12:43:34 GMT 1, There is something fishy however about having cross-table discussions with only half the representative population of Palestinians. The idea is to ghettoise and isolate Gaza and Hamas while being the good guy to Fatah and the West Bank surely?
Anyway. Different discussion for a different day...nice picture on the top of that article.

Yes I did notice that, not good, but on the other hand at least some progress can be made in other areas.

Donors pledge billions in aid for Palestinians, by dmandpenfold on Dec 18, 2007 14:00:58 GMT 1, if you can get Fatah and Israel to the table and demonstrate you can make progress for peace and a solution to the Palestinian / Israeli problem then the benefits seen would hopefully help bring hamas to an agreement and persuade them to drop some of their more hardline ideas..it's got to start somewhere and at present it appears to be a case of 'better the devil you know'

Unfortunately the Israeli's are now arming Fatah with heavy weaponry, better guns, armoured vehicles and tanks !... in order to fight Hamas, a party that won a democratic election.

After realising he's been used and your not really up for sharing power, he usually turns on you. Planes into WTC springs to mind.
