James Rizzi - potentially large collection available For Sale, by sircoxson on Jul 12, 2016 11:14:42 GMT 1, dear forumites,
I am researching the market of the artist "james rizzi" for a business contact (who is not a member on here) who has amassed quite a large collection of rizzi artworks over the years and might want to part with it now. total value he told me (although tough to evaluate properly) is in the area of 250.000-350.000 euro. I will check again for total number and pricings of artworks.
rizzi is probably not nearly as hyped as many street/urban artists but obviously his works have appreciated quite nicely in value over the years.
what I am trying to find out, since I am not very familiar with rizzi: 1. is there a huge rizzi fan base, so you would sell the collection individually to single rizzi lovers? 2. alternatively: are there rizzi lovers who would invest in buying a huge collection of artworks? 3. does anyone on here have access to art investors/galleries who would buy a collection this size? 4. or is rizzi irrelevant in the art world (at the moment) and my business contact should keep the collection?
thank you in advance for your insights and thoughts via comment or private message.
NB: I am not a fan of the artist, I just want to gather information about the artist - so please don't kill me with ugly comments about rizzi...
