'UNDERGROUND' 2016 LONDON, by nobokov on Aug 24, 2016 20:48:26 GMT 1, Coming soon ... 'UNDERGROUND' 2016 LONDON
Following on from last years success, it is with great pleasure to announce that we will be back with a second installment of 'Underground', a group show curated by Team GS.
This years show will kick off in style with an RSVP opening night on Thursday 29th September 2016 at 6:30PM. The show will then continue to be open each and every day until Tuesday 4th October.
Featuring fresh new works by no less than 12 uber skilled street artists, who will be bringing us a wide variety of different styles, backgrounds and cultures.
With complimentary drinks, beats, live spray-painting and the opportunity to meet some of these world-class artists in person, this free event is a unique opportunity not to be missed and we expect this show to be something truly unforgettable. But don't take our word for it, come and see what it's all about. We will reveal the remaining artists and our secret London location over the next few weeks.
Check out our first 4 confirmed artists to the line-up below and find out details below on how to sign up to our RSVP opening night! Foshan, china Hua Tunan Hua Tunan
Chinese-born street artist Hua Tunan is fast becoming one of the biggest names on the international street art scene. Hua began his artistic career painting in traditional Chinese techniques, taught to him by his father. It was then on his travels to Singapore where he found a passion for street art. A true performer by nature, this very talented artist is able to bring a controlled chaotic energetic composition by mixing Western graffiti styles with traditional Chinese methods, staying true to his chinese heritage. Through his art, Hua continues to evoke emotions from people all over the world. Lier, Belgium Joachim
Joachim paints and draws for as long as he can remember. His first memory of streetart dates back from the early 90's, when he was about 6 years old and saw an old school graffiti piece in the city of Antwerp. It was on that day that he envisaged a future as a graffiti artist. Being of the most active street artists out there, his distinctive style has captured hearts all over the world and his works can now be found with collectors as far as Tokyo, New York and Melbourne. Joachim madrid, spain Ruben Sanchez Ruben Sanchez
Once a graffiti writer, spanish street artist Ruben Sanchez has taken influence from his skate years and today his style has evolved into a colourful fusion with many elements including graphics, cubism and tribal art, in the process giving us that spanish feel good vibe. His geometric playful murals have the ability to transform ugly walls into an explosion of colour with cubism-influence. Weston-super-mare JPS
Inspired by Banksy, JPS has developed his own style creating fun, whitty street art by involving pop culture characters like heroes and villains along with some frighteningly realistic horror movie characters. By using the location to inspire the artwork itself and creating the setting for which the art comes to life, JPS is more than just your average artist. JPS want to be part of our BIG opening night? come and join us
Attendance to the opening night is strictly by RSVP only.
