Just noticed this. It states that it will be available within the next few days. If I'm being honest, I don't like it. Her newer work has done little for me.

New Sandra Chevrier Print, by Reptile 072 on Nov 24, 2016 1:25:09 GMT 1, I wasn't the biggest fan of her work, but I think I get the appeal now. The symbolism behind her work is pretty powerful, I would say. In our patriarchal societies, we hold women to a different standard and expect them to be superheroes, perfect. At least that's how I interpret her work.
Like "La Cage, ici!" I prefer these closeups over the full bodied women. I think it is a better vehicle for her message.

New Sandra Chevrier Print, by natstan on Nov 24, 2016 3:48:05 GMT 1, Does it look that much different from the previous release? I hope she starts doing something else, this is getting too stale. Whatever message she wanted to bring across should have been brought across by now after all these years.

New Sandra Chevrier Print, by Reptile 072 on Nov 24, 2016 6:20:46 GMT 1, Again, I'm not the hugest Sandra fan, but to play Devil's advocate:
This upcoming print and the last print releases are different than her older releases, as far as perspective is concerned. She also has a figure coming out soon, so she is trying new things. Much like Sperry and his Muses, the women and the "cages" will most likely be Sandra's "thing" but hopefully she will experiment along the way and not drag on the same concept for 2 decades.

New Sandra Chevrier Print, by Layaway Days Art Blog on Nov 24, 2016 18:35:13 GMT 1, It looks a lot better than most of her stuff. I wrote an email once and she was a jerk, so I will never own one of her pieces. Looking back my email was kind of silly but she kind of went on off on a rant about how each piece has meaning etc...which it obviously does, but it just seemed like maybe she had people questioning her work in the past. Out of all the artists I've spoken with it's been Dran and her that were real jerks.
I can see both perspectives. Without mentioning which artists I like or dislike, it's like Nick Walker and the TMA's, Martin Whatson and his tagging etc...People can really like it. People can really hate it. Each piece says a lot. Each piece says nothing. Just depends on your perspective. I do think it's more '3-D' which I like.

New Sandra Chevrier Print, by avec art on Nov 24, 2016 18:35:26 GMT 1, Yeah, at least she's used the success she's had to grow and develop as an artist and is not just sticking to a tried and tested formula, over and over again.

Without knowing what was said by either of you, we all have tetchy moments from time to time.
Keep the email though. If she goes on to be a famous artist, it might be worth a fortune one day.

New Sandra Chevrier Print, by Dr Plip on Nov 24, 2016 19:23:18 GMT 1, I really hope that she'll paint some women and men that are more.......normal looking.
I know there are many beautiful people out there, but for every beautiful person with glossy hair, there are 3 or 4 frizzy-haired, wonky-eyed individuals with spare tyres and perhaps not the correct amount of fingers.
WE EXIST!
