Air Ink Pen - ink made of air pollution, by phischa on Jan 27, 2017 9:44:03 GMT 1, It's not going to save the world but it is a great idea and a small step trying to minimize the problem. Would love to see artists actually using the ink.
"Depending on the type a 30ML Air-Ink Pen contains 30-50 minutes of air pollution generated by cars- that otherwise have been floating in the environment "

Air Ink Pen - ink made of air pollution, by randomname on Jan 27, 2017 17:04:06 GMT 1, I saw this a while back. An ad agency came up with the idea to promote Tiger beer. My feeling is it's more style than substance. Probably much less practical than requiring cars to use catalytic convertors. But I'm sure they won some advertising awards. And sold some god awful beer.

You might be right with their intentions, unfortunately. Bottom line for me is that the technical process is working. Every idea and/or suggestion to minimize the pollution is a step in the right direction. Requiring car manufacturers to install catalytic converters is indeed more practical but there will be still enough material for 1000s of pens. :-)

Particulate filters have been around for decades. When used with a catalytic convertor, they capture more than 90% of the pollution, including 99% of the particulate. It's a neat video, but perhaps a bit misleading.
