Studiocromie, by sakesake on Jan 31, 2017 18:25:12 GMT 1, Dear all, I am curious to hear your experiences with orders from Studiocromie? Especially buyers located in North America, I believe it's easier within Europe. I bought 2 prints on December 21st and haven't received them yet... I wrote e-mails to check in and see what's going on and only had one sketchy reply saying that they came back and that he sent them again. If I'm paying 28 euros for the shipping, I am expecting a fast delivery by a trusted carrier (Purolator, Fedex, UPS, etc.) not the sloppy italian post service... It's unfortunate because I am looking forward to buy more from them but I am not confident anymore. Any similar experiences?

Hopefully they sent it tracked though so you can see if they're stuck at customs. They're a reputable and well known gallery, so should be reliable.
When did they send them for the second time?

Studiocromie, by ncewnimw on Jan 31, 2017 18:35:06 GMT 1, Buy with confidence. I bought a couple of prints some years ago and it came out good. Delivered to Sweden. Can't remember the name of the guy running things but I believe it's pretty much a one man show why it sometimes takes time for him to respond. Be patient, things will end up well. At least that's my experience. Best of luck.

Studiocromie, by Deleted on Jan 31, 2017 19:37:01 GMT 1, I purchased a print from them in the summer of 2015. It arrived in a timely manner in the US and well packed. Beautiful piece too. Can't remember how long it took specifically, but didn't leave a bad memory. Hope you get your prints soon. Cheers!

Studiocromie, by Jameszee on Jan 31, 2017 22:45:59 GMT 1, Just my personal experience, bought a interesni kaski print from Angelo for delivery to the UK a year or two ago.
Print arrived in a narrow, poor quality tube and must have been hastily rolled, as had big crease down the print and was warped.
Reported to Angelo within hours of opening to a less than warm response. Communication broke down rapidly and could not believe the childish rhetoric I was at the receiving end of. (name calling etc). Luckily I opted not to pay by bank transfer as originally asked and insisted I paid by PayPal. I broke off communication after it was clear I would only get abuse and opened a PayPal case to which Angelo never responded to. PayPal awarded case in my favour, so shipped the print back with tracking. According to my tracking, item made it back to Italy, went out for delivery then... Nothing.
I have no way of proving, but suspect item was delivered but someone convinced postie not to sign for it. So Paypal never paid out!! Luckily I return shipped with full insurance, so thankfully many weeks later got my money returned from courier.
IMO steer well clear!! Most unprofessional gallery I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Think if it all goes well then fine, if you have any problems I suspect a bumpy ride.
Good luck sorting op!

Studiocromie, by russkov on Feb 1, 2017 7:33:40 GMT 1, I had 2 experiences, the first was average, as I ordered, paid by wire and received a print from Vhils something like 1,5 year ago. Communication was slow and shipping even slower, but it came ok at the end. The second time was far different, 6 months after I bought another print, paid the invoice I received by wire (invoice received 3-4 days after I ordered, which is quite slow) to the very same account and following instructions, and.....nothing. I contacted Angelo, send the copy of the wire to indicate that the money was off account since a while at my end, started to "hey dude, I do not know what you are talking about" - literally -, that the print was sold in the meanwhile anyway, after I noticed that a wire came back from Italy -85 euros of bank fees for obviously sending my money back. Well I'd say I sit far better since, with a 85 euros lube ya know....

Not a place I will personally do business with.

Studiocromie, by pingoo on Feb 1, 2017 10:04:36 GMT 1, I enquired a while back about a piece and had a surprising unfriendly answer. Maybe silly as i liked the piece but I only deal with courteous people.
He doesn't seem to like what he is doing for living.

It was a joke.
I use flight logistics for all my shipping needs, they take the pain out of it.

Studiocromie, by NN on Feb 4, 2017 1:26:07 GMT 1, Living in Europe. Bought a book there once - I'd recommend buying from Studiocromie.
Also, be aware that sending from Europe to the US takes a while. I recently sent a rolled print to a customer (>40+โฌ, second fastest delivery possible), got stopped at the customs for 3! months for no reason.

Studiocromie, by Briggs 74 on Feb 6, 2017 12:52:23 GMT 1, I've bought many things over the years from Angelo at Studiocromie all with no issues. I'm waiting for a Momo og that should be arriving before too long. I think the thing to remember is that Angelo (as has been said already) is pretty much a one man show there in Italy and so there are inevitably going to be a little waiting time compared to larger outfits in the art world. Thing to remember is that he has great relationships with some of the best artists oeprating in Europe and the US at the moment and there's always good art to buy from him.

Studiocromie, by diogoo on Feb 8, 2017 12:45:55 GMT 1, I don't recommend them and I'm not buying anything from them in the future.
2 years ago I bought a print from them. After paying I waited a couple of days and as I had no answer I sent them an email. Only 2 weeks after (and several emails) I got an answer saying that the print was going to be sent. I asked for the tracking number which I never got. As I didn't receive any tracking number or print for some weeks, I sent them another mail and their answer was they had a problem with the italian mail and the print was sold out!! Basically they sold my print to another person!!! They ended up refunding me but this hole process took around 3 months, 12 emails and I got no print! definitely I don't recommend them.

Studiocromie, by sakesake on Feb 8, 2017 17:43:13 GMT 1, Well, it seems like it's 50% positive & 50% negative feedbacks. If this was a ebay account I would never do business with that user. I ordered my prints 50 days ago and haven't got them yet. I understand it's a one man show, although he doesn't communicate very well & doesn't inspire confidence. Maybe the italian post service are the one to blame, I don't know. Either way it's frustrating to be waiting for something for so long.
