Underwater art, by Dive Jedi on Mar 2, 2017 12:36:01 GMT 1, Just took this photo today. Maybe I'm watching too much art, but this kinda looks like an abstract artwork to me. Or was it nitrogen narcosis ?

Here's a few I'm rather pleased with. I might drop a bombshell later in the year concerning one of my pics....

Underwater art, by Guaanie on Mar 2, 2017 14:15:23 GMT 1, Ahhh... So you've been to Myanmar? I was there in December. What a beautiful country and wonderful, friendly people. I can't help but recommend that everyone goes there.

Indeed. The most friendly people I have ever met. And amazing place.
Go there before it changes into Thailand 2.0

Underwater art, by nobokov on Mar 3, 2017 5:56:09 GMT 1, Amazing photos. Love the contrast and framing of the fisherman and bridge. If you don't mind me asking, did you use a high shutter speed with most of the images and use shutter-speed priority or was it strictly manual? And was the bridge image using a tripod and fisherman, handheld?

Underwater art, by Dive Jedi on Mar 3, 2017 13:03:45 GMT 1, Thank you, sir. "Far" more fun indeed. This is at Limasawa Island, Philippines Great photo! I'm off to the Philippines in May, for 2 weeks. Any recommendations? favourite islands/dive sites? Hey Ling, I'm in Maasin (Southern Leyte) now. You can go there by boat from Cebu. Or fly to Tacloban and take a bus for 5 hours. Pretty nice diving there and not so crowded. My favourite Island is Malapascua - you can see Thresher Sharks there most of the time. Also fly to Cebu and take a bus (or private car) to Maya. Bohol - Alona Beach is quite nice. Relaxed atmosphere and nice diving. Palawan is famous for WWII Japanese wrecks. Nice scenery too.
Just DO NOT go to Oslob to swim with whale shark. They feed them and it's NOT COOL. If you want to see whalesharks go to Donsol (fly to Legaspi) for 3 days. That's natural.
Hereby a pic from today. Southern Leyte Divers in San Roque.

And was the bridge image using a tripod and fisherman, handheld? Thank you, sir. Both the bridge and the fishermen were taken from a boat - handheld. I usually set my camera to Automatic. I have a Canon 5D, which is made by 500 Japanese engineers who each know more about photography then I do. They are actually all inside. So I let them do the work. Unless I get into waterfalls or deep/dark waters. Then I go manual.

Are you in Malapascua now ? I was supposed to be there now as well, but I ruptured my eardrum. So I'm taking a break and will be back April 20 until May 5 or so.

Underwater art, by Deleted on May 25, 2017 20:34:23 GMT 1, Have you ever found any treasure underwater when diving?
I know someone went diving in Bermuda and he found a triangle.
