Taki 183 back in the market (2nd tentative, ahah), by thomasmer on Mar 15, 2017 4:41:39 GMT 1, I'd like to see a TAKI and a TOX canvas come up at auction.
Even more 20 years from now.

Taki 183 back in the market (2nd tentative, ahah), by tobeannounced on Mar 15, 2017 8:57:33 GMT 1, There are also a set of acrylics on wood over at 1xRun at 600 USD.
Personally I think they are way over priced, and frankly I just don't see the appeal. Making the tags in all those multiple colourways, just makes it look like a design manual for a new "hip" urban streetwear blog and it doesn't give any sort of true reference to his graffiti tagging roots.
Compared to Cope2 or Seen, this just seems completely void of any originality or "soul" in regards to graffiti culture.
But hey, the guy is a living legend who pretty much invented modern graffiti tagging, so they will be worth a shit ton of money in 50-60 years time, no doubt about it.
Now, if he started doing collaborative prints to "spice" things up a bit, that would be interesting. Like the Todd James X Barry McGee print or the Cope2 X Obey stuff.
