question re: "trying here first before taking to ebay", by Dexter Bulldog on Apr 12, 2017 14:59:17 GMT 1, I was wondering what this actually means. Is the implication that the seller is doing everyone a special favor by coming here first? Isnt that the other way around in that it benefits the seller to sell here?
I just don't get the "threat" if you will of saying "last chance or it goes on the bay". better act now on this thing that hasnt sold or else i gotta go deal with the extra hassles ...

I think its just to make it seem like they're doing you a favour when really it's just about saving on the fees.

question re: "trying here first before taking to ebay", by John The Badgers on Apr 12, 2017 15:34:38 GMT 1, If you are unable to sell on here, likelihood it is overpriced? I cant see what benefits there are to be had with then hawking it over on eBay where you have the fees, and a high chance of being messed around. I personally think I'd rather sell for a bit less on here, gain some goodwill, which will no doubt come around.

question re: "trying here first before taking to ebay", by soupy on Apr 12, 2017 16:05:34 GMT 1, i don't really take it as a threat. you guys are taking this a bit too seriously. ebay has a MUCH wider audience and probably has a better chance to sell. i don't see any harm in offering up something here first as long as the it doesn't include the ebay markup. sometimes there are prints on here priced extremely well but maybe don't sell just because members don't see it. i know i have missed out on old sale threads because i wasn't searching UAA 24/7. if the UAA seller comes on here asking for ebay prices... then yeah, i get it. if they are at least discounting it or offering it for cost+shipping, then have at it.
as for selling on ebay (or anywhere online).... you are 99 times out of 100 covered if you CYA and follow the rules for ALL services (ebay, shipping, etc). as long as you have detailed listing, pics, insurance, etc... it is an extremely low risk transaction.

Ha, ha, yeah me too. I haven't been on here for so long, but I've come to find that this forum is a flippers paradise with the prices offered being at gallery level sometimes, the few searches I've had on here have (mostly) been way overpriced and I've been able to aquire them on eBay for less than here.

question re: "trying here first before taking to ebay", by davievegas on Apr 12, 2017 21:57:01 GMT 1, You can sell things much easier on ebay then you can here. All you get here is unwanted opinions and tons of crying and people wanting "special" attention. Whether thats an extra poster or best offer when they know what the price is from EB and ebay. On ebay at least your covered in case something goes wrong. On here not so much.
