Julien's is auctioning off my collection on May 11., by Rouen Cathedral on Apr 26, 2017 18:55:06 GMT 1, Lol I'm not upset about anything. It's weird that is your response as you are representing this forum though. You could explain it. Or at least try. How does posting a link to ones own auction with 2 hours differ from posting to one with 10 days? Links to auction houses have always been accepted, this is just a link to a sale containing all his pieces. Simple really.
So what makes a link to an auction house with 2 hours left different. As it's said that's not allowed?
What makes a link to all 'Martin whatson' prints on eBay (mine just being one of them) different?

What's the reasoning behind eBay links being banned? That's my question.

Julien's is auctioning off my collection on May 11., by tartarus on Apr 26, 2017 19:15:44 GMT 1, There on ebay. ebay links are banned. No he said they removed auction house links with say 2 hours left. What's the reasoning behind eBay links being banned? That's my question. Its never been an issue to post links to an auction house sale. How often do you see a thread about a sale at Paddle8, christies, Phillips, artsy, auctionata etc etc. It just happens all the pieces in this are his.
Links posted to peoples single items in auction houses would be removed as they are a repetitive pain in the arse. as are links to everyones ebay auctions. It would just clog shit up dude. It is what it is, and that is pretty clear.

Julien's is auctioning off my collection on May 11., by mla on Apr 26, 2017 19:17:05 GMT 1, I'm not sure why there is such difficulty in comprehending this matter.
If eBay links were allowed, the forum would be littered with them. They are created constantly and end constantly. An eBay auction operates as distinct, individual item, thereby benefiting only one person.
Auctions done via traditional auction house are fairly infrequent and the auction will encompass a wide variety of works from a wide variety of sellers. As such, the discussion of of these auctions does not directly benefit just one person, and due to the frequency in which they occur, they can easily be managed by keeping the related posts in its own sub forum.

Him posting this link won't directly benefit him?
What are you talking about!
If the answer is we do what we want and allow what we want with conflicting actions that's fine. But don't go trying to say this is different.
It's posted in the wrong forum and done so to draw attention to HIS collection being sold.
That's the same exact thing as if I posted an eBay link to my own auction. The motivation is exactly the same.

Yes I read it an it makes sense. But then you go let a 9 post member post a link to his collection being sold to draw attention to it. Let me guess his 10th post will be when there is a day left conviently to remind everyone that this great urban art auction is ending.
So the reason for no single eBay links is just so the forum isn't clogged up? Is that correct?

Instead of insults why don't you answer the questions.
Where have I comprehended wrong?

If you are so confident answer my questions above?

Julien's is auctioning off my collection on May 11., by davievegas on Apr 26, 2017 20:36:27 GMT 1, This whole board is a walking contradiction. No offense to .dappy . I feel he is the one that gets the brunt of it all since he seems like the most active guardian on the board. But this board does not really have rules anymore. The owner Daniel Silk does not police it.
He leaves his guardians out in the wilderness to be attacked by wolves all the time about the "rules" with no response when certain weird situations come about. Just collects advertising money from banners etc. Everyone is starting to realize that selling anything on here is more of a hassle then not.
The one thing you can expect from this board is the consistent low balling because buyers always want some sort of deal on here. Like its a privilege to sell here lol. Also, I have noticed more people being scammed on here and it seems to be growing and this boards reputation is not what it use to be.
I see more price manipulation by posters with less then 1 stars or posters with less then 1 year old accounts on here more and more. Flippers are coming in droves and that means more money for Daniel Silk. I post less and less on here now a days. ONLY thing that is a consistent joy on this board is finding out the drop dates/times for artists releases.
I personally do not see any issue with posting an auction house on the boards. EVEN IF your personal pieces are in it. If he would of posted the pieces individually, then I would of said that was not right. BUT I can see how people can easily have issues with it. It really comes down to how each person perceives it. Just my Two cents.

I'm new to this forum but have been a lurker for years and I've seen plenty of price manipulation by members with a lot more stars than one. I think as with most forums just don't believe all you read and don't let people wind you up. Simples! Oh and that's not me bitchin

I don't mind eBay links either. Not so keen on members bickering, and trying to wind others up. Let it go murrke.

I see more price manipulation by posters with less then 1 stars or posters with less then 1 year old accounts on here more and more. Flippers are coming in droves and that means more money for Daniel. Why tag .dappy but not Daniel Silk ?

Julien's is auctioning off my collection on May 11., by Rouen Cathedral on Apr 26, 2017 21:16:37 GMT 1, I think we should just get on with it ebay links are fine with me lots of pretty pictures smile, be happy I don't mind eBay links either. Not so keen on members bickering, and trying to wind others up. Let it go murrke.
Honestly I'm trying to understand it because it seems like a huge contradiction to not allow one thing but allow the other.
I thought the forum guardian could clear that up. Clearly I was wrong...

Ok. So you've reached that conclusion. I beg to differ. Can you leave it now?

I can but the refusal of simple questions by a formal guardian shows something.
Is ebay auctions not allowed because they would clog and be annoying as stated?
Or are they not allowed because it shows the motivation of the seller to show there work to sell and advertise?
