G.O.A.T, by jfactor on May 22, 2017 3:27:26 GMT 1, GOAT is a common acronym nowadays for "greatest of all time"- used a lot in referencing athletes especially.
I'm curious... Who do you consider the GOAT of the art world?
Dead or alive, doesn't matter. Who has had/or will have an incredibly long lasting legacy in your opinion? Who's art will you continue to strive to add into your collection? Who just flat out boggles your mind? Questions to consider!
If I had to narrow it down to one, Keith Haring is my answer. Cliche I know, but dammit I love me some Haring artwork. The social commentary he developed through his art crossed so many boundaries and he created an amazing sense of unity and community through his endevours. He brought such a positive light with his creativity. I would've loved to pick his brain and shake the man's hand.
Your turn!

G.O.A.T, by andyroo0312 on May 22, 2017 5:27:28 GMT 1, Nice score VS.. For me GOAT would be 'Paul Jackson Pollock' I could not tell you why except the first time i saw 'Blue Poles' in the National Gallery in Canberra i was mesmerised. It is something i have seen many times yet each time i see it i feel & think differently about it than the previous time. P.s Believe you me a picture does not convey the power in this piece. I think PJP infused his paints with some kind of alchemy. Its interesting that so many artists that push the boundaries of art in their time tend to deal with a lot of mental illness and addiction issues. I wonder if the acute issues some of them have or have not dealt with is what made their art so amazing in the first place? Just a thought.

Van Gogh, Epileptic, Bi Polar plus Hypergraphia and lead poisoning from the paints he used, oh plus a bit of syphilis here and there. In the case of George Condo it was to work with Kanye West. I do like the 'Cracked Cardinal' Tho

Currently with the restoration team at Darbyshires. Not much being done to it, just stabilising and removing any acidity. Looking forward to it's ascent to the wall.

Really? You've got to share a picture!
A Rothko I think trumps anything owned by anyone on here.

He has been dead for 30 years, but what he created 50 years ago is relevant in urban art today. Look at all of the artists that he has influenced and their contributions to art.

I'm going to say Banksy because he's real hot right now...
