Don't buy from schoki74, by pr.yu on Sept 16, 2017 17:59:13 GMT 1, Sad to say, but I've finally been burned on a sale. On 8/9 I sent money through PayPal to schoki74 for a Josh Keyes The Collector print. Never arrived. I have sent multiple PMs, emails and messages through PayPal and have finally resorted to trying to get the charges reversed through PayPal. Hoping that process works out.
Just didn't want anyone else to get burned by him or her. And all over a low cost print, too. So lame.
All that being said, my faith in the UAA community remains strong, and I hope to have lots of successful transactions in the future.
Finally, if you've actually got a Collector print you'd be willing to part with, PM me.

Don't buy from schoki74, by siveone on Sept 16, 2017 18:18:35 GMT 1, You have to call Paypal by phone as soon as possible and start an problem case. And you have to check the dates/deadline via paypal. If you miss one of their deadlines, you will never receive the money back from paypal. They also try to find ways not to pay the insurance. Further all future mails to the seller should be written via paypal. Good luck.

Don't buy from schoki74, by pr.yu on Sept 16, 2017 18:36:02 GMT 1, Thanks all. I've opened a "not received case." It will take some weeks, but I think I'll get a positive resolution. Mostly just angry that it was over something so small and of little value as this print. Just doesn't make any sense. And I know that schoki74 logged on multiple times after I started sending him PMs and emails. Not sure what he or she was thinking.

Don't buy from schoki74, by Laugh Now 10 on Sept 16, 2017 18:47:55 GMT 1, Sorry to hear, but this is another lesson for all future buyers when sending funds only issue through PayPal (NOT "friends and family") unless you are 100% sure that the transaction is legit (where a bank wire would be required). Don't be afraid to pay those PayPal fees as they may save you from a crooked seller. On a side note, these type of stories keep popping up on here which is a sad state of affairs.

Don't buy from schoki74, by Theories 123 on Sept 16, 2017 18:52:06 GMT 1, I too got burned for the first time recently.
Bought a print from dalwest that arrived damaged. It was badly packed although he claimed it must have been opened by customs who must have not replaced some of the packaging they took out. I asked him whether he would prefer if I returned it or he covered the cost of repair. He agreed to pay for the repair and logged a claim with USPS. I traveled in to London to take it to Bignells for a quote, passed this to the seller who agreed to cover the cost. I then possibly too trusting, left it with Bignells, expecting the seller to transfer the funds once the work was completed and the cost confirmed. Needless to say the money was never transferred and he is ignoring emails and messages on this forum. I logged a ticket with Paypal although I wasn't really expecting much. It reached the 'waiting for seller response' stage and wasn't due to progress until the first week of October. Randomly during the night this was escalated by Paypal to a claim and then closed as the item was 'no longer in the same condition as when it arrived'. I'm assuming that he phoned Paypal but I could be wrong. Surely it's unusual for Paypal to look into cases that they aren't yet required to?
Anyway, just a word of warning if you're looking to buy from dalwest. I've had many smooth transactions on this forum but this certainly wasn't one!

Perhaps add it to that, as will pop up more easily than this one. Very disappointing to hear that two recent transactions have gone badly wrong in this thread.

Don't buy from schoki74, by pr.yu on Sept 16, 2017 21:44:21 GMT 1, Consider faith in the UAA site restored. I've been offered the print at cost of shipping twice already since I made the initial post. Great gestures. Such a fine community. Thanks all. Very much appreciated.
