Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by andyb on Dec 12, 2017 23:04:52 GMT 1, I watched them sell out very slowly off the shelves of pow for £75 🤢 Didn’t buy one because I didn’t like it much. Yea, I remember you could take days, if not weeks, to decide if you were going to buy a print or not. Now that would be cool!!

Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by Deleted on Dec 12, 2017 23:11:13 GMT 1, I can't quite believe the price of the boxset. Someone has either more money than sense or a very tight travel itinerary.

A hand finished Banksy sub 35k gbp is a great result imo.

I’ve always been worried about the “thinness” of the paper used for this historical cracker of a print

Yeah, the paper is shocking. I obtained a condition report for this particular work and it had some condition issues (most the RC's do) but I think it's all part of the history. I don't think Mr. B in the back of his van with Laz, ever expected that one of the prints would go for 32k!

Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by Dexter Bulldog on Dec 13, 2017 3:25:11 GMT 1, Surprised Choose Your Weapon didn't go. I'm not. I own cyw but have been saying all along this estimate was way off. We're talking about dark orange. Bottom third of "regular" cyw. It was just too high by 10-15k.

Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by Pipes on Dec 13, 2017 3:58:47 GMT 1, I thought it was generally considered 2.5/3 times? Not that I have been following particularly carefully - just a general rule of thumb? Think it varies from sale to sale but particularly different images - making some signed pieces good value??
I have no stats - but irrespective of image I have thought it it has held roughly true.
Trollies unsigned at 7 and signed at 21 Barcode 15 then signed 45
Anyway - supposed to be the art not the money 😀

Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by Boyle44 on Dec 13, 2017 9:27:50 GMT 1, Somebody got a bargain or great investment! He certainly did, but not as big a bargain as the lad that bought my Kids on guns canvas for £800! I rang him up as I was receiving no replies to my request for paynents and spoke to his mum, she paid it haha. Funny, the guy who bought the Love Rat text me out the blue this week, apparently Dan Baldwin had given him my number. He's applying to PC for the COA, so he still has it... for the moment lol Anyway, no more tragic Banksy sale stories from me, as even I'm beginning to tire of them.
Insane I feel for you mate, 800 quid for a kids on guns canvas 😩🙈

Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by Dexter Bulldog on Dec 13, 2017 12:08:49 GMT 1, I'm not. I own Choose Your Weapon but have been saying all along this estimate was way off. We're talking about dark orange. Bottom third of "regular" Choose Your Weapon. It was just too high by 10-15k. What was the guide on the Choose Your Weapon? I'm not surprised the Watchtower didn't go. I thought the price was astronomical for it. $52-67k
i would have thought 40-55 was anywhere from realistic to generous.. I think the last recent sale was 30 GBP so could see it being higher than this but not double...

Banksy NYC Auction - Forum Auctions, by greedy21 on Dec 13, 2017 17:25:41 GMT 1, Prior to the auction, I read on their site that there was a 25% premium.
Since then I've noticed another 5% or so was to be paid on top of that. Feel free to revise those results I've listed.
