What do you store your prints in?, by brgs on Jan 8, 2018 0:00:20 GMT 1, I did a search but couldn't really find a previous thread. So i have now got to the stage where i have run out of wall space, but I still want to collect and enjoy more pictures. I was looking at archival folders or artist's portfolios to store larger editions flat so i can leaf through them etc.
These can maybe be kept in a wooden storage rack.
I was wondering what other members here do about that? It's just not practical to have everything framed and hanging. I probably should get used to the idea of selling some but for the time being i'm a collector!
Anyone got anything to share?
Thanks
Jim

I'm concerned about my prints developing the botulinum toxin and would want to make sure I maintain a pH below 4.5 to avoid.

What do you store your prints in?, by kwatis on Jan 25, 2018 3:32:36 GMT 1, If not in frames, I do portfolio Alvin archival print sleeves (the ones from dickblick in a previous post) and then those in drawers in my flatfiles. Doesn't matter how large my framing queue gets, I know that everything is stored away and organized. And I know a lot of people say "if its not on your wall you're not seeing/enjoying it," but the plastic sleeves allow for great viewing. Added bonus is you sometimes discover things in your flatfiles that you forgot about. I'll share some pics later and more info too.

What do you store your prints in?, by josephwillis123 on Jan 25, 2018 15:00:43 GMT 1, I second these. Fairly sturdy, affordable, archival, and come in larger sizes. With the black archival insert you can use both sides. And free shipping (coupons everywhere online for dick blick)
