Joachim/Graffiti Street show this week (London), by The Silence on Feb 28, 2018 0:48:55 GMT 1, Hi all,
Is anyone else going to the Joachim / Graffiti Street show this week? I know a few people from here who are going to the private view. A few for the art, a few for the free beer, most for both. I like Joachim's stuff, interested to see what it's like in person.
Thought I'd check who else is going as we may organise a curry or more beers after. Sorry if there's already a post on this but I couldn't see one.
The details are:
Private View: Thu 1st March (18:30 - 22:00) Open Daily: Fri 2nd - Sat 10th March 2018 (10:00-18:30) Address: 11 Dray Walk, The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London E1 6QL
'BORN TO PAINT' LONDON SOLO SHOW One year in the planning the time has finally come for us to announce a very special event. We welcome the prolific and exceptionally talented Belgian street artist Joachim for his highly anticipated London debut solo show.
The show has been titled 'Born To Paint', inspired by the artist's overwhelming passion to create. This is Joachim's first exhibition after his sell out show at Huberty & Breyne in Belgium. The artist will showcase his latest works on canvas and a number of unique installations.
There will also be limited edition screen prints available at the show and a free exclusive ‘Born to Paint’ t-shirt for the first one hundred visitors*.
Curated by Rosh Boroumand, co-Founder at Graffitistreet.com, doors open on Thursday 1st March 2018 with an exclusive Private View (RSVP only). If you want to be part of an unforgettable night, sip a (free) Belgian beer with Joachim and celebrate with ourselves, be sure to get your RSVP tickets asap. Please note tickets are extremely limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis. We expect these to sell out fast so don't miss out!
This show is tipped to be one of the best shows of 2018 ... but don't just take our word for it, come and see what it's all about.
A special shout out goes to our sponsors Heverlee Beer who are kindly providing us with free beers on the private view!
Attendance to the Private View on the 1st March 2018 is strictly by RSVP only. E-mail your full name(s) to rsvp@graffitistreet.com Max. of 2 people per email. Limited spaces. An official invitation will be sent via email within 48 hours of receipt.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY - JOACHIM Joachim has painted and drawn for as long as he can remember. His first memory of street art dates back to the early 90's, when at the age of 6, he saw an old school graffiti piece in his home city Antwerp. With multiple street art murals to his name, sell out prints and shows across Europe, Joachim has earnt his reputation within the urban art scene. He has managed to conquer a place of his own. Following on from last year’s sell out solo show at Huberty & Breyne Gallery, Brussels, 2018 marks the start of a new chapter with his debut London solo show ‘Born To Paint’ giving the people of London, and beyond, a very rare chance to see this artist’s latest body of work.
* First come first served. Sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL. T's and C's apply

Joachim/Graffiti Street show this week (London), by The Silence on Apr 6, 2018 22:32:23 GMT 1, Joachim turned out to be a great guy (not that there is any reason why he shouldn’t be). Took the time to really chat and answer questions. The mini was awesome, pity it was out of my price range.
Great artist in the making! Glad you guys enjoyed it too.
