Christie's NY Rockefeller Auction May 8th , by lollo88 on May 10, 2018 16:05:01 GMT 1, This is just about everything urban art/street art isn't I couldn't disagree more. The research for meaning in art makes it so that, by different people, it can be found in very different art cathegories. The only difference between a Banksy and a Picasso is only the amount of money someone is willing to pay in order to have it. But the true meaning of art resides in the eyes of the observer. Nowadays what Street art is teaching us is that you could use art as a vehicle to pass on futher meanings than just beauty itself (like politics, ecosustainability, sociology, and so on). And this is not happening only now with the improvement of our comunication and sharing systems (Facebook, Instagram, internet in general) but it started with Basquiat, Warhol and Keith Haring. Times are just turning around, the world may change and so could artists and collectors, but art Always has been and Always will be a vehicle for emotions and meanings, whatever its form or price may be.
