Posting tube to the US, by Schrรถdinger's Chat on Jul 9, 2018 18:54:16 GMT 1, Evening, I'm sending a tube to the states, it's quite a high value item.
What company do people find most reliable? All the cheap ones scare the b'jeysus out of me with their terrible ratings.
With insurance of ยฃ900 it's going to cost ยฃ60 to post. This is through parcels2go using USPS.
Any recommendations?
Can anyone point me to a thread on this?

A tube insured for $550 to France was $48 via USPS. As far as US carriers Iโm partial to FedEx and USPS. UPS and DHL canโt seem follow delivery instructions so itโs just a matter of time until something is sitting out in the rain ruined lol.

We book via MyDHL, and find the service quick and reliable. I think there are links with UPS when over there. Have tried others, TNT etc, but from experience, DHL certainly the ones I would go for - hope this helps.

I appreciate thatโs of no help, but I thought it was pretty impressive.

Posting tube to the US, by Jenifferg on Jul 10, 2018 15:47:22 GMT 1, Last time, I sent the postage tube to Pennsylvania, States via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed Service (It's using USPS too while in the States). I paid ยฃ 17.40 with insurance and about 11 days in transit. The item value I put ยฃ250.00 as that's the highest compensation Royal Mail can cover.

Postage is about ยฃ60, plus insurance - there's a ยฃ250 excess, but they cover high-value prints and none of the standard couriers I've seen insure art at all. I've used standard courier services to send things that are worth less than ยฃ250, but probably wouldn't risk a ยฃ900 print.
