Some decent stuff in this auction actually. They do love a low estimate to drive interest though don't they

Sotheby's September 18th London, by silvermyn on Sept 17, 2018 16:49:24 GMT 1, So it appears completely repairable for a nominal sum. Youโre the f**kingexpert. In all fairness, ripples and soft creases are a relatively simple fix for a good restorer. I'd say, about ยฃ500 or thereabouts would do it.
You don't need to be an expert to make such an assesment. You just need to have had similar work done in the past. I think posterbob has been to Graham Bignell's Studio once or twice with various pieces so he should have a fair opinion on this one.

I've got nothing against the guy. I'm glad to get any information before making such a large purchase.

If you are going to "splash the cash", then get the condition report and go and see the piece before bidding. The condition report should tell you if there is any UV damage.

I've been emailing them back and forth. No mention of UV damage but i'm not sure if I trust their report. Unfortunately I am recovering from surgery and can't make a flight out there.
Thanks for helping. Appreciate it.

I think you can trust their condition report, they are a reputable auction house. If I had a bit more notice I would have checked it out for you and let you know anything that I could spot. Good luck with it.
