What would annoy everyone the most?, by gd79 on Jan 23, 2019 10:13:04 GMT 1, In two days we've seen:
- stupid flipper prices on cheap kaws tat
- banksy no coa
- a bunch of homebase tiles ripped off the street and touted as invader. For 15k.
Is something funny going on? Surely someone is getting off on setting up new accounts just to annoy everyone and bask in the attention. Some weird form of sado-masochism.
What next? A Pejac love letter for 2k? A banksy ripped off a wall with no coa? Even worse a Pejac that the buyer, shock, has received and doesn't actually like?

Say, when someone says, "Hey guys, I was just in Paris at the Pejac show, had so much fun - I have 6 Forest prints (not mini prints) for sale, only $5500 each!"
That is frustrating.
I think the most annoying is not just a flipper, but when you see something that a lot of true fans really want, and the flipper has MULTIPLES of the item. Say, when someone says, "Hey guys, I was just in Paris at the Pejac show, had so much fun - I have 6 Forest prints (not mini prints) for sale, only $5500 each!"
That is frustrating.

We would then have to have another vote style button instead of a thumbs up that signifies either one. If the user gets so many of these they get the symbol permanent attached to thier name.
I know we won't do this but I'm just flowing some thoughts on to my screen

We've been saying this place has been getting worse for Years
It reached the bottom a good few years back. I would say its still an ok place when you look at what it is and the amount of money that flows through it

To be fair, I think it's a great place. It reinvigorated my appreciation of art, introduced me to a host of new artists, is responsible for a fair few things on my wall and has many interesting reads.
The cr@p stuff is an annoyance, usually peppered with some amusing put downs.

I say its already at the bottom and i think that hasnt got lower to go. Its about 85% money 15% art.
In what old farts like me call the good old days it was about 75 % art 25% money
It is what it is. People have cashed in, built up nice collections, got burnt along the way ect
A lot People that like to discuss art have moved on as the forums focus changed
I still enjoy it.
