"Seven Days too Long" Group Exhibition Mirus Gallery , by Mirus Gallery on Jun 27, 2019 22:17:27 GMT 1, Mirus Gallery , I have a question. Clearly GMC has talent. The dude can draw. But why Tom & Jerry ? ? ? I honestly don't get that…. You would have to ask to artist or read up on him a bit, here is a quick BIO.
Born and raised in Tooting, South London.
He studied animation for 3 years at London University, Surrey Institute of Art and Design. After gaining his BA he left to pursue an art career but the animation aspect has never really left his craft.
Now based in East London he has his work in major collections across the US, Europe, The Middle East and the Far East. George has exhibited alongside the likes of George Condo, Tracey Emin, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Takashi Murakami and Damien Hirst. He has also collaborated with major brands including DeLonghi, The Macmillan Cancer Trust and Penguin Books.
In 2018 he sold out his works in a major show in Beirut concluding with 24 pieces going to prestigious collections across the world.
His works are large and bold canvases of oil and acrylic within a contemporary abstract form. He takes his inspiration from films, music, his travels and pop imagery.
“I want my art to excite people. I know I have created a decent painting when I look at it and feel my pupils dilate. I want the same to happen to the viewer and for them to experience something similar to what I did while painting it”. – George Morton-Clark
George’s future projects include another 9ft rug with Knots Rugs in Chelsea this Autumn. With shows coming up this year in Singapore, Dubai, Miami, Paris, and solo shows in Taipei, Taiwan and Beirut, Lebanon later this year.

"Seven Days too Long" Group Exhibition Mirus Gallery , by genesis on Jul 1, 2019 5:01:16 GMT 1, Being an early GMC fan (starring at a large canvas of his as we speak), I too have wondered why the incorporation of the cartoons. It seems to be working for his Asian market fans. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but wishing him continued success.
Mirus Gallery any plans for an SF group show similar format? Seems like Denver is getting all of the love lately.

Here is some information I can share now. But I will till tell you that they are amazing.
15 colour print combining process and spot colour layers. Printed onto stainless steel coloured anodised aluminium and finished with a spot varnish. Each piece includes an integral layer hand finished by the artist making each print unique in itself.
