Terrible Packaging, by Schrödinger's Chat on Sept 2, 2019 6:16:19 GMT 1, I couldn't find a thread on terrible packaging but I thought it might create a useful how not to pack prints for anyone, particularly those new to packing prints.
Mainly it was an excuse to post this shocker, thankfully the print was a low value Kozyndan print, but it is signed and limited edition. 1. Sellotape used to tape the print to itself to stop unravelling 😦 2. Using a bog roll that is way shorter than the print for protection.😧Couldn't even stretch to a kitchen roll tube! 3. Stuffed in a bubble wrap envelope that was just big enough with no further protection. 😩
Needless to say the print had edge damage and was coiled too tightly.
I had to laugh when I opened it 🤣
I won't say which gallery I bought it from (kidding, it was a random ebay purchase).

Terrible Packaging, by eyectopus on Sept 2, 2019 6:21:20 GMT 1, I am surprised the print isn't more damaged. That is one of the worst attempts I have seen at packing a print.

Terrible Packaging, by Express Post on Sept 2, 2019 7:19:01 GMT 1, You get what you pay for. Was postage cheap? If not, bring out the hammer and get some of your money back.

Terrible Packaging, by Schrödinger's Chat on Sept 2, 2019 8:36:46 GMT 1, Whilst I agree that you get what you paid for (and in this case I paid very little and had low expectations) but rolling carefully, not sellotaping, and using a kitchen roll or even two bog rolls strapped together would have added no extra cost or taken any longer for the seller.

It’s a quick Paypal dispute, get your money back and teach them a lesson time.

Terrible Packaging, by Express Post on Sept 2, 2019 18:31:58 GMT 1, Impossible. Studio Cromie included an unused bog roll to clean up their chitty packaging. Very considerate.
Buyer got punk'd by Ellen. We will see the reaction video on youtube.
