Dusters and dusting, by longshanks on Sept 9, 2019 10:20:02 GMT 1, Not the most exciting of threads but was wondering what products people use to dust frames?
I'm not normally a fan of dusters as I feel they just push dust back into the air, but I'm cautious of using cloths on frames in case they leave marks.
So, how do you keep everything spick n span?

Dusters and dusting, by Bill Hicks on Sept 9, 2019 11:17:10 GMT 1, This may help
For dust
Cleaning glass Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the glass as the liquid can run down the surface and seep inside your frame and onto the artwork. Instead spray onto your cloth then clean the glass in circular motions. Make sure your cloth is lint free. Pure cotton is fine. If you have UV filtered glass or anti reflective glass on your frame, make sure the glass cleaner is suitable for the type of glass you have. Most art glass suppliers recommend household glass cleaner without ammonia and low content of tenside surfactants. It is best to check for advice on the website of the brand of glass you have on your frame because some cleaners will damage the special coatings on the glass. Try not to touch anti reflective glass Anti reflective glass picks up fingerprints easily and it is tricky to clean. It is better to avoid touching itand not have to clean it than have to clean it and risk smears. You can dust the surface safely with a lint free cloth and handle the frame with pure cotton gloves.
While cotton is a natural fiber, microfiber is made from synthetic materials, typically a polyester-nylon blend. ... But cleaning experts say, when compared side-by-side, microfiber is clearly superior to cotton.
This may help

Should have told that to my mum regarding my room when I was a teenager.
