BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by microcosmica on Oct 20, 2019 10:48:21 GMT 1, Y'know what? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the clocks are brand harry spankers new, because it's easier to source brand new clocks from an office supply company (ethical one, obvs) than it is to send one of your work experience monkeys out to every charity shop in a 200 mile radius, to source 50 (for now) identical clocks. Does anyone know if the batteries are included or whether you have to buy some? FFS It says they are new
Well that’s a shame. With a broken clock you’d get the satisfaction of being right twice a day, which is about all I can handle personally. A clock that actually works is going to be some kind of dopamine overload.

it it would be nice to think they were once on an office wall, with a bunch of people watching them waiting for the hours to slowly tick away. Not realising they were a few metres away from a genuine Banksy in the making

I can’t remember the exact statistic, but it’s something like this: if you live in London you’re never more than 6 feet away from a Banksy.

Not realising they were a few metres away from a genuine Banksy in the making What's incredible when you think about it, is the portion of profit collected at every stage of its construction, like the base materials, transporting them, moulding them, the technology and materials used in the quartz movement, the paint used (again made/sourced), the assembly, the packaging (designed, made & sourced), the transportation, the various wholesalers along the way that would've sold them on, then the artist adding paint (that he's paid for, that was made, transported), with a small amount of profit (and an ecological cost) at every single step.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Terry Fuckwitt on Oct 20, 2019 10:58:09 GMT 1, Anyone know if the clocks are broken, or do they actually work? If the latter, why? Surely broken clocks would be easier and cheaper to make (or source).
'Anyone know if the clocks are broken, or do they actually work?' Possibly two answers to this question. They are not broken as the hands move. They don't work as a clock should, as the time is not correct.

Once it's yours, you can do what you like with it. I personally would put an almost flat battery in it. Just for the excitement.
Nice. I’m going to remove the filthy graffiti from mine.

I had a clock once that went backwards if the battery was the wrong way round, yep true story! I think Banksy missed a trick here😉

Could that mean anyone registered with Pest Control with a Banksy/COA?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Lroy on Oct 20, 2019 13:41:43 GMT 1, So are people posting all the noble things they’d do with their art in hopes that Banksy is reading and will select them? Well, unless Team B knows the person behind the forum name (hi guys!), you're going to have to post what your answer to the Bloom question is on the "does art matter?" thread, THEN they can match the forum name to your order and see whether you give off nice sounds or bad sounds. He's making a list, he's checking it twice, because he's had about 170,000 emails asking if he can cancel people's multiple orders, gonna find out who's naughty or nice, Banksy Claus is coming...….to....
Hi mate ! Well it’s a bit worrying mon ami , at the end ( I don’t speak of your comments ) all these things and words, posts, that make those who have been wrong in their own country and applications : they are feeling guilty and, anyway, they deserve as much as others to buy a little artwork on the Banksy website. Fatal and tragic error ! it looks like (not you), We should be ashamed, that Bansky wants to punish us, that we should flee and hide because of the mistake! Even some posts are contemptuous and - instead of helping us find a solution, either do not answer us ( Invaded per example concerning the tee and mail ). Why this hate ? Are we not all members and bro here ! Can we help Us instead of mocking us etc ? So, my question is simple : and I, we would like to know : should we have to pm’ GDP or not ? Of course they are busy with mails, and or because of us, but it was the game too , and a bit of humanity should be great here and/or there. Ta.

Not me. It’s a fantastic art piece, but it’s something that would work better in a museum than in my home. Don’t really have enough room for all the baby stuff I already have

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Oct 20, 2019 14:30:10 GMT 1, It's difficult for team b to allocate items to those deemed worthy. Their best bet imho would be to allocate to people whom have bought before and not sold on. If you have people who have been customers when the prints were sub £50 and still own them, then that's as pretty much as big a sign of being fans as you can get imho. I would assume that's people whom are comfortably off as it's very difficult to justify having a piece of paper or canvas on the wall that could pay off a large percentage or all of your mortgage and make life a whole lot easier. Would you have a 25 year mortgage on a £250k flat in east london with a gwb canvas on your wall? if truthuly yes then you deserve to win.

You would if you believe the piece will go up at a faster rate than you've borrowed from the bank at...
And what about people that paid 5-10k for their piece and have kept it for years as they're still registered? Does that make them more of a fan because they saved to buy, or less of a fan because they were unable to buy originally?
And don't forget there's probably 75,000 registered owners with pc

Well, I was just going by the words of the statement, but if you're talking thoughts, I'm not sure I think Banksy's saying we should all illegally park in disabled parking spaces, drink and drive or commit rape (that escalated quickly). I like to think that he's suggesting we should think critically. But we all see the world through our own lenses (or lens if you've only got one eye).

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Invaded 420 on Oct 20, 2019 15:02:40 GMT 1, Put my name down for a shirt. Hopefully get one! Amazing idea again by Banksy. Have really enjoyed gdp an the online shop with the items, descriptions and t an c’s! Bloody great. What a time to be alive in the art world What do you mean you get one ? You got a second confirmation mail ? With paiement ? Or just the first confirmation mail that everybody have had ? Thanks ! It’s true that the tees were my heart attack ! no I said I put my name down for one, as in that was the one item I decided to apply to buy after I had given the terms and conditions a read. Too many people going for the limited stuff so figured I would go for an unlimited item. There is no second payment emails yet. If you read on the site it’s open to choose your one item until the 28th of this month and then payment emails will be sent out to the people selected
