I was completely unfamiliar with his work until I read about this exhibition. What I’ve seen on the Internet I like very much. Check out, for example, “The Absinthe Drinker” and “The Gust of Wind”. I shall be visiting the exhibition in a couple of weeks.
I’m prompted to mention it now as I’ve just listened to a glowing review of the exhibition on radio 4’s Saturday Review (penultimate feature):
