Are you mistaking them for foyles? They have the foyalty points scheme.

Shame. I used to like making a big order, and then being able to buy another book. When they had a sale, if I remember correctly, you got points on the pre sale price, which meant you could buy a third! Oh well, all good things ...

She was in massive debt for a long long time. $24 million. Didn't pay equipment rental houses, workers, film and printing houses.
Her life is super super interesting tho. Will be in the history books for photography for sure.
She was trying to combine like four homes at one point in NYC... I think that was a huge money killer for her. It's unfortunate she's such a nasty person to a lot people in the photo world who helped her tho.

Also, and in stark contrast to the film and also Annie Leibovitz , anyone who has an interest in photography I would recommend reading ‘on photography’ by Susan Sontag , which becomes even more interesting knowing that Susan and Annie actually married a few years after the publication.

My book arrived the other day - can really recommend it.
A acquaintant of mine is a photographer and he knows AL. She really seems to be “hard work”. He also says its no surprise she is in constant financial struggle as she strictly refuses to do any editions.
