new work up at BMG, by Heavyconsumer on Mar 16, 2008 23:19:10 GMT 1, I'm a big fan of Lucy's work in general. I find her line very attractive and soothing, but these are not my favourite pieces by a long way.
Although they may at first appear to be very well priced (and admitedly their pricing seems fair) I think it's worth looking at Laz and asking how many of the nicer pieces of hers he's actually sold. He's had some amazing originals of hers, available on his site for a long time. I feel he really overprices her stuff (no surprise there), so while it's nice to see realistic pricing, that's all I think it is, as these are not very ellaborate works by her standards and they're not very large either. I'm sure we'll see a lot better from her in the next month or two, with her show coming up in San Francisco.

new work up at BMG, by oneeye on Mar 17, 2008 16:44:52 GMT 1, I actually like the BLK/MRKT Lucy's way better than the ones at Laz. These have a lot of color in them, which to me, makes them much richer.
And the price is extremely fair.

new work up at BMG, by Heavyconsumer on Mar 24, 2008 3:19:04 GMT 1, Nope, they have them there. The only one that I really liked was the "dark haired woman seduces a piano player". It's definitely the best of the 4 and accordingly the 1st to sell out. I got an email from them, quoting me $180 for shipping and I just couldn't stomach it. Maybe others felt the same way. I can't afford to be throwing $150 away on thin air. Wish I could.

Have you flicked all the way through the originals on the Laz site? There are some real beauties there, but theyre hidden away behind the pieces that were space fillers for the recent show there. The prices on (imo) the nicer pieces are ยฃ4000+. So for sure I agree that BMG are fairer on price, but even the b+w works on Laz are extremely detailed and pretty awesome, once you get past those space fillers. They also have one or two great older pieces of hers with plenty of colour, but again very steep pricetags. Anyway my point was, just make sure you've seen them all, some are brilliant!
Also, I was told by Katrina recently, that there are likely to be many more reasonably priced originals in the coming months (aftermath of the next show). Still waiting for show info though, I only know it'll be San Fran.

Its not an error its truly amazing IMO, does everyone know the BMG has an option to shipped in a tube to the UK now saves on postage. With new artists selling out and great images from Ian just lying around makes me scratch my head a little but. I guess 350 isn't cheep.... is it?
