Frieze London, by JAlternatión on Oct 11, 2021 18:20:09 GMT 1, Just wondering if anyone knows why Frieze London is so expensive? Was thinking about going as have a free afternoon on Thursday, but it's £155 a ticket! Not sure if I'm missing something (like a free guest ticket)

Frieze London, by Crisis As Usual on Oct 11, 2021 18:25:36 GMT 1, Thursday is a ‘preview’ day and is more expensive. Should be cheaper over the weekend.

Frieze London, by dotdot on Oct 11, 2021 22:13:21 GMT 1, It’s a shame its priced to keep people out, but then it’s the same the world over..
For those who go .. it’s on a calendar.. and the cost is not a talking point..
Anyone here on that radar / frequency ? ..

Frieze London, by tonys on Oct 12, 2021 9:28:30 GMT 1, Does anyone have any discount codes? Missed out on the early bird booking...
A lot of money to stare at art I can't afford, but a good day out nonetheless

I stopped going to Frieze years ago as it alway felt terrible value for money. Most of the art in the main galleries was awful. The fringe galleries were by far the more interesting.

Frieze London, by nik2000 on Oct 12, 2021 13:25:58 GMT 1, The cheapest tickets are £46 (I think) which is still a lot of money. Why is it so expensive? Does anyone know? Most art fairs are half that price (or less). Or perhaps they are just trying to keep the riff-raff out.
A lot of people get free tickets fwiw

Its a mix - the cost to set up Frieze is enormous, most other fairs use existing buildings and infrastructure. That said prices are also strategic to “keep the riff raff “ out.
