Archival Tape, by Chimpowlo 1990 on Apr 25, 2022 20:24:24 GMT 1, Hi all,
Wondering what the standard/safest process is for securing a piece to the back of a mount. Is there a particular archival tape that can be removed without affecting the back of prints or is there a different methods for securing prints to the mount that doesn't cause any damage etc. Interested to hear your thoughts!

Check out lineco stuff, the hinging tape is reversible or the archival mounting strips are great with no adhesive at all: www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=Lineco Thanks Geester. Would you hinge in all situations, even when just placing a print behind a mount?

Archival Tape, by User Error on Apr 26, 2022 4:35:42 GMT 1, I would like to get a framer's opinion on using mounting corners on the back side of a mat to secure a print. There's no adhesive to the artwork and it still allows the art to move with changes in climate.

Archival Tape, by Chimpowlo 1990 on May 6, 2022 12:03:45 GMT 1, Following on from this, does anyone have any recommendations in the London / Southeast area for restorers/framers that may be able to assist with removal of some tape from the rear of some prints? Itโs been used to attach it to the mount and I want to try and rectify the mistake!
