-------
Set to be released on the 20th September, a brand new, hand pulled screen print is coming exclusively to the D*Face store. A year in the making and certainly our most ambitious print to-date (so much so we had to enlist the help of a new printer, who likely won’t want to see any of the D*Face team again - that’s how hard this was to produce). So many colours, we gave up counting (but it’s something like 24), anyway, it’s a good’un…
We’ve listened to many years of complaints (unfair time zones, not enough bandwidth, slow connection speeds, cart empty at checkout, etc.) and in an attempt to make things fairer for everyone the new print will be available via a draw. 150 applicants will be selected at random by Waffle (D’s real life dog), who will be blindfolded, fed treats and read names until he barks, growls, or burps to indicate the chosen entrants (or something like that). P.s he also has a great nose for sniffing out those that enter more than once and cheaters don’t get picked.
Entry to the draw is free and (we hope) fairly simple, all that you have to do is add one entry ticket to your cart on the D*Face store between 11am on the 20th September and 11am on September 21st (BST), provide your details and shipping address and place the order (it’ll feel like you’re buying something but trust us, you’re not yet). Successful entries will be notified on September 22nd and an invoice to pay shared via email. Full details will be provided on the entry ticket page.
Limited Edition of 150 · Signed, Numbered & Stamped · One per customer Dimensions 55.5cm x 100cm (21.8” x 39.4”)
Medium 24 colour silkscreen print on Albion Cotton 400gsm, stamped, signed and numbered by the artist
Pricing Information: Prints are £450.00 each (inc. VAT, exc. shipping)
Release Details September 20th 2023 · via www.dface.co.uk · random lottery Draw

Seems pretty obvious to me that the colour shades would be different.

DFace • Silent Ride 2023, by drip on Sept 20, 2023 14:03:31 GMT 1, Dude's face is a lighter shade in the original mural. I guess that makes the difference in colour (from his neck to to his face through the windscreen) more noticeable in the print. He's also gained a Swallow tattoo on his neck in the print.

money saved i guess, good luck to those going for it.

Art DFace - ‘Silent Ride’ Williamsburg, Brooklyn About DFace image 1 DFace - ‘Silent Ride’ Williamsburg, Brooklyn Share December 17, 2022 ‘Silent Ride’ Williamsburg, Brooklyn. 2022.Backstory: I began creating this artwork in my Peckham, S.E. London studio circa summer 2020, whilst still in some form of lockdown covid surrealness, inspired by track (as per the title of this piece). At this point I was heavily reminiscing and missing much of what covid had taken: travel, the hustle bustle of familiar cities and painting in places with my crew that we all took visiting for granted. Roll forward a few and I’m approached with a commission to paint this wall, the most incredible location, THE SPOT... passed bye by hundreds of thousand of people a day on train, car, foot, bike... the visibility is incredible. I knew immediately this artwork was spot on. I liked the interplay between the wall and passers-by. I’m sure you’ve either been the driver or passenger in similar situations, I know have. This mural was far and away the most taxing of all the walls I’ve painted. From the countless hours spent getting OSHA certified in order to even get on the wall, to the technicalities of painting the actual wall, it was a wrestle from the get go. All I know is when you’re on a wall of this scale, you can’t back down, it’s both mentally and physically exhausting but most importantly t’s team work and a challenge that for sure wouldn’t have been possible with out my crack team of sky pirates: Boots, Max, Louis and master rigger Raj and Singh, also Tod and James on the ground not to forget, most importantly those who approached me and made this possible a huge thanks for the opportunity. At the end of it, we were all glad to walk away with this one under our belts, unscathed but well worn. I hope it’s enjoyed by the public as much as I enjoyed painting it. Brooklyn you rock hard.photo credit : KINKY’1 - thanks so much for the rooftop documentation!#nycmurals #dface #murals #artie #bestartie

I guess the only way of telling if this image is true to life is to recreate it in the real world! If anybody has a similar purple car, knows a woman with wings for ears and a man who appears to be one of the undead, please get in touch

DFace • Silent Ride 2023, by Invader1887 on Sept 21, 2023 11:37:41 GMT 1, What annoys me about D*Face is the obvious copying of Roy Lichtenstein in style and motive. The only artistic input from his side are the little wings, scars and tatoos, all of which I don't really like. Yet, somehow and despite everything, I tend to pay attention to his works.
