FS: Faile There Were No Words Letterpress, by Ron Goldsurfer on Jun 17, 2008 17:29:59 GMT 1, itยดs not really true that this is the only print utilizing the letterpress method. I got a print that was made around 2001 and the motif is the challenger diving, just printed black and white on sturdy white card board. I askยดd Faile about my print and here is a part of the answer I got.
"They were made through a woodblock letterpress shop in Tennessee, I believe. We had them do the type on the bottom, in this case "CHALLENGER." Then we did the print on top of them.
I think there were maybe 25 of each? We weren't really serious about numbering back then unfortunately but we only made those once. So I know there aren't very many.
I think there was a Bunny Boy, Shuttle, These Women holding a Baby Chick, and I'm blanking on the other one at them moment. Anyway, I tried to find the pics for these but we only had one and I can't find it now. If I do I'll pass it on.
It was just an experiment at the time. A part of the printing process and trying new things as students."
But I will admit that the print you are selling looks nicer, and it is numbered and signed.
