Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by spirit on Mar 28, 2008 18:33:25 GMT 1, How someone could steal items and money that have been donated to a children's charity is completely beyond me. IMO whatever he did in the past is completely overshadowed by what he is doing now. It's disgusting behavior and just so fuckin selfish and wrong. If he was ever going to try and make it right he would have done so by now - he even said that he doesn't think the charity need the money! (as much as he obviously does). Therefore I agree it's time to get the Police involved.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Harveyn on Mar 28, 2008 20:36:06 GMT 1, I continue to be appalled that he does not donate the money he has received and complete the auctions for the 30+ pieces of art he is holding. He appears to enjoy circulating in the art world that he has abused by taking these donations. That pales into insignificance compared to his believe that the urgency of donation to these types of charities is not important. How can anybody think that charities catering for terminal ill children do not need every penny and as quickly as they can get it. Pathetic.
As per all his explanations I have no doubt it is somebody else's fault now.
Can I assume from his Neate purchase etc that he is afforded previews and an advantaged position with some reputable galleries? I do hope they read these forums and act accordingly.
To those that have donated pieces that were not in the first set of auctions ask for your art back. Do not let this guy away with this.

Not exactly 'busy' then if he was schmoozing at a party. The guy's quite clearly full of s**t. Shame on you Verbal, you'll get yours eventually.

Indeed, what goes around comes around verbal, sort it out and get the rest of the stuff listed and the money given to the charity.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by pezlow on Mar 28, 2008 21:26:50 GMT 1, Harveyn - I appreciate that as the charity fundraiser you are sick to the back teeth with this. But I would respectfully suggest that it is time either you or Silky called the police about this.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Harveyn on Mar 28, 2008 21:41:23 GMT 1, Pez - The only people who can take action are those who have donated. I have inquired and that is why I urge each person to request their donations back. Legally he has accepted these donations under false pretenses. The other option is to name and shame. I have to this day stated I am not interested in doing this but eventually action must be taken.
I am probably opening myself up to a further torrid of abuse from Verbal but to be honest I do not care.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Harveyn on Mar 28, 2008 21:57:29 GMT 1, Pez - Please do and contact me privately with the outcome. I am prepared to make a statement of the events to date. The problem I believe will be whether this is viewed as a Criminal or Civil case. If the police believe it to be criminal then they can take action. If it is deemed Civil then the individuals who donated to Chris need to hire legal representation and proceed accordingly. This is not my field so I could be wrong. I hope I am as I think Police involvement is called for.

ABC - I am not running it. Chris is running it and holding all the cash and donations. I forced him with the help of Bluebell to donated £3700 pounds and my involvement has been to try and keep people informed. If I was running this it would have been completed by now and the money in the hands of charity.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Deleted on Mar 29, 2008 9:08:33 GMT 1, i am only guessing , but i would say that the police may well be interested in this, but only because of verbals criminal record and that it is a charity. if it was a first time thing for someone i dont think they would be in the slightest bit interested. i have to call the police all the time through my job and the amount of times that they say we are to busy. pezlow- if you want a bit of help i know a couple of police through work and could ask for an opinion. never quite sure when i am next going to see them though.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by themightyreds on Mar 29, 2008 23:33:12 GMT 1, I've emailed Verbal/Chris tonight to ask for my items back. Had to go searching to find the list of donations made as it was a while ago and my short term memory isn't the best so i'd forgotten exactly what i'd sent in...! Anyway, i found the original list so if anyone wants a reminder of the donations they made go here - banksyforum.proboards82.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ebaychat&thread=1193135305&page=1

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Harveyn on Mar 30, 2008 12:18:18 GMT 1, Great work I have been looking for that thread.
Please also note that only £3700 has been donated to charity and a further £500 directly in a cheque from Organics1.
I would therefore urge that not only the people whose pieces have not been auctioned ask for their donations back but also those that donated pieces that appear to have been auctioned. If Verbal claims it was auctioned already ask where the money has been donated to and then let me know I will keep a running total to see how much money he is still holding. It will take everyone to do this and a concerted effort by everyone. Do not let Verbal get away with this.
If everyone keeps me informed of the outcome I will happily produce a list of pieces retrieved.

Hi P. Your donation was a fantastic piece. Send Chris another email and if he refuses to answer involve the authorities. The people who have donated pieces need to take a stance on this. Let me know how you get on.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Harveyn on Apr 4, 2008 22:20:38 GMT 1, Apartment - Did you get a response from Chris? Demand you art back or tell him you will phone the press. I have had enough and its the only thing that appears to have upset him in the past. Despite the fact I never threatened this course of action.
I have had a multitude of pm's from people who have donated art and not received it any communication from Chris about getting their donations back.
Please everyone continue to apply pressure.
For the members on this forum who have friends at all the gallery's we have bought art from (Elms, TLSG, BRP, OcContemporary, Jonathan Levine, POW, Campbarbossa, Stella Dore etc.....Edge!!) please contact them and alert them to this guys presence.
We are fouls to let him get away with this.

This are the auctions that took place. Remember only £3700 has been donated to Bluebell. As yours was in the first lot I am pretty sure everything is good for your donation.
But with thousands of pounds not donated and 34 pieces of art not even auctions do not let this guy get away with this.

This are the auctions that took place. Remember only £3700 has been donated to Bluebell. As yours was in the first lot I am pretty sure everything is good for your donation.
But with thousands of pounds not donated and 34 pieces of art not even auctions do not let this guy get away with this.

Charidee Complete & A Big THANK YOU!!!, by Harveyn on Apr 4, 2008 22:48:02 GMT 1, Just to repeat
Apartment - Did you get a response from Chris?
