Staying away from the Bay, by craigf on Jun 27, 2009 16:50:35 GMT 1, I do, not recently as either prices are to aspirational (imho) for BIN items or they don't have what I am looking for plus actually I really shouldn't be spending any pennies ;D

Same reasons as myself, plus a lot of sellers want Paypal only and this is problematic for me.

Staying away from the Bay, by dotdot on Jun 28, 2009 20:14:57 GMT 1, yeah I still use the bay - it's not an easy business... but well if you can't get it at source ie pow (b/am/ etc) or dbsg (jk) - then you don't have too muchly choicey - unless you try eb - which I've not done trades on.
just - keep your wits about you - there are folks ready to rip you off more so nowadays...

Staying away from the Bay, by Zippy on Jun 30, 2009 11:36:32 GMT 1, but some of those 'folks' must be on the forums too. My dface gets wrecked everytime I list it.
It's only a disgruntled forum member who keeps ruining it.

The problem is these guys are really screwing the apparent prices for pieces. There was a signed J&J last week that the winning bidder faded into the ether when it came to pay. Assuming no foul play on the side of the seller (I have no reason whatsoever to believe there was) this means there would have probably been a serious bidder who missed out on a decent price signed print.
I've never sold any of my prints, do need to as I don't have enough walls, but really can't be bothered so they will stay where they are for now

Staying away from the Bay, by wizzy on Jun 30, 2009 15:22:24 GMT 1, Well, as well as people selling works on ebay they could also load any works they have for sale up to sit like Flicker or something then put a link under their signatures? or not?, i notice a few already do this so it must work to an extent.

Hey Z,
get yourself an on line chat with an ebay person - advise them of your predicament - let me know how you get on (note my last message on this subject).
