Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by esfer on Nov 11, 2009 8:16:52 GMT 1, Hello all.
I have the following Faile prints and Faile originals for sale. If you wish more/ better/ larger images, please PM me with your email addy or questions or comments.
All are actual images of the pieces for sale, not stock photos.
I am offering these to Board members first. I am selling all of these pieces at prices far less than my cost. Because of this, I do not have much wiggle room on the prices. I realize the art market is terrible at the moment so I have lowered these prices as far as I possibly can if I cannot sel at these prices, then I will just keep them until a later date. Like many other collectors I am in dire straights and I need funds to live off until I find work. Any purchases would be greatly appreciated and I thank you for looking. I have many other artists, PM me for others you might be interested in, mostly american artists. I will be listing a 2nd offering soon, with mny original pieces by Anthony Lister and more Faile pieces.
Shipping will be the responsibilty of buyer, Paypal payment requires a certified address and full shipping with insurance. paying by wire transfer, purchaser can have item shipped however you wish. All items will be professionally packaged... I will pay for packaging (in cases where the original packing materials are not available). Some of these have C.O.A.'s and paperwork, and some do not. All are 100% authentic.
FAILE:
Challenger, 18" X 24", ed of 25, Signed/dated/numbered on back, $900.00

Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by esfer on Nov 12, 2009 1:56:57 GMT 1, Yes, the F-head is an amazing example. Zippy just sent me a PM saying that one just like it sold for 7-9k here a while back and I was shocked...I would probably buy another one at that price....of course I have always been a fan of the F-head pieces. The F-head I saw here before was a single color stencil on wood...and it was not of this quality at all. Faile said they thought this was one of their best examples because of the street like quality of the cracked found wood they used. Guessing by the lack of real enthusiasm about these offerings I will likely be keeping most, if not all, of them...glad I am not the only one going though hard times...Haha.

Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by esfer on Nov 12, 2009 7:43:52 GMT 1, Carig...you said it. I will be posting other artists in the next few days...we will see if they fair any better. It's really funny that people use to fight over Faile just 18 months ago and now are not interested much in getting great pieces at a huge discount from the prices then. I still think Faile has some completely amazing pieces out there. Not to sound like a sales man, but I really like the piece I have called "he said it was love". I bought it from Laz and I was thinking when I bought it that it might have been a mistake because I bought it online...until I saw it in person...it is amazing. You can sure tell the difference between the one off's and the prints..seriously they are night and day in quality..even though the image may be similar.
I guess the fenzy has just switched to Obey now...and people have already stopped buying his prints with any sort of gusto , moving over to rubyliths and Hpm pieces instead. I guess it is a cycle. I wonder who will be next?

Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by jones27 on Nov 12, 2009 13:34:00 GMT 1, Are these prices really that good ? I purchased the Agony & Ecstacy (18 odd months back, at the height) for ยฃ1300. And the 'happens everyday' santas ghetto went on ebay last month for ยฃ900.
A bargain Faile for me would be Foremans Couldnt fight temptation piece. That was massive, loads of colour, low edition and it sold (within minutes) for ยฃ1250....
Maybe you bought these pieces on the secondary and obviously are taking a big hit if your hoping to recoup the cost. But (with the exception of the Mary stab), I dont think they are priced to sell

My thoughts exactly. I understand the sellers position however if you want to sell anything you've got to look around and you'll see that with these prices it just won't happen. On the other hand if you're not forced to sell - you might take your chances. There are a lot of (IMO too many) Faile pieces in the circulation these days but unless someone is offering a real bargain or an exceptional piece (which I haven't seen in a long time maybe apart from Ronhill's Key Foods piece - good price for a good piece) there won't be any deal done. The latter applies not only to Faile but to the other artists too, Banksy included.

Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by esfer on Nov 12, 2009 19:20:54 GMT 1, I guess with all boards you will have people who want to nay say for I don't know what reason. I guess you consider yourselves the uninvited security guards here to make anybody who would buy one of my pieces feels like they got ripped off by doing so?
I am selling at the prices I can afford to sell at. These are not give aways...why should they be? I am not commiting anybody to buy from me by looking..these are the all 20% less than I paid. Like I said, it may not be a give aways, but I AM taking a loss and that is the best I can do. Some members out there might have been searching for a particular Faile piece and be willing to buy from me. However, you negative nillys post comments about how you can find these cheaper elsewhere is potentially scaring away some of those would be buyers...to what end? Do you really think all of these pieces are available at prices less than I am asking? Show me them...give them a trail so they can go get a better deal someplace else, not just offering your opinion about how my pricing is high, with the hope of fu*king up my deals for me. Thanks all the same, but I can fu*k up my own deals.
To the rest of you who can at least appreciate the amount of time and money I have spent to get this collection, and offer support for me having to sell in hard times...thanks to you.

Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by motor on Nov 12, 2009 21:46:54 GMT 1, Not sure if I am one of those "nay say" people but I will respond.
I guess with all boards you will have people who want to nay say for I don't know what reason. I guess you consider yourselves the uninvited security guards here to make anybody who would buy one of my pieces feels like they got ripped off by doing so?
Well this is a public forum and you have stated your prices. Sometimes people say it is a good price - and that's all great and sometimes people say it is not so good price - and than it is not so great.
I can comment on whatever I want. My comment regarding your pricing was to you and not to the potential sellers. You've mentioned that you need to pay your rent. So it was my observation that at that price it won't sell. Yes, I could just PM you but I like to have some conversation and to see what other people think.
I am selling at the prices I can afford to sell at. These are not give aways...why should they be? I am not commiting anybody to buy from me by looking..these are the all 20% less than I paid. Some members out there might have been searching for a particular Faile piece and be willing to buy from me.
If you are forced to sell - you are forced to sell. As you've mentioned in your Soap Box on Flickr "you are pretty familiar with the pricing of art in this genre..." then you should be aware that the prices, in Faile instance, are down way more than 20% from a 18 months ago. But I agree, no way should should these be give-away pieces. You do have a great collection. Respect.
However, you negative nillys post comments about how you can find these cheaper elsewhere is potentially scaring away some of those would be buyers...to what end? Do you really think all of these pieces are available at prices less than I am asking? It wasn't my intention to f**k up your sale. I apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Faile prints & originals for sale Many pieces Pt.1, by jones27 on Nov 12, 2009 22:58:31 GMT 1, I never meant to f**k up your sale either. I did mention you had a great price for the Mary Stab. A couple of years ago I tried selling a GWB on here for 3k (at the peak) and got a similar reaction to what your having. `Its a public forum and people have a right to voice concerns and opinions. If you dont like that, then dont bother posting. Just stock pile them up with all the other over priced Buy it Nows on ebay. Simples.
Maybe Silkie could create a 'quick sale' forum (for the likes of that Toxic Mary which sold today for $800) and keep this forum for these slow burners.
Good luck with your sale.
