DIY Framing: Any book recommendations?, by hlarmy on Dec 27, 2009 5:12:41 GMT 1, One of my 2010 New Year's resolutions is to learn how to frame my own art; I did a rough calculation and it's shocking how much I have spent on framing since I started collecting in 2007.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to go about learning the trade. I am in the process of searching for framers who would consider taking on an 'apprentice'. Does anyone have any recommendations on books that explain the basics and then go into more advanced techniques?

Thegrumble is a absolute goldmine of info, in terms of preservation techniques i think the U.S (grumble) are a bit more advanced than us over here

You want the easy answers yet i feel those best placed to give you that are all members of thegrumble.
A book might show you the very basics in terms of general picture framing, but the area you are interested is a bit of niche
