What do you drive? , by Dive Jedi on Mar 18, 2021 15:37:56 GMT 1, I guess it’s about time to switch to hybrid or 100 percent electric... 100% electric is fine when you use it as a daily driver to work etc. But if you enjoy roadtrips like we do it's rather useless. If I want to visit a show in Paris I would have to spend a night in Brussels to get there. And again on the way back. Instead of driving there in a straight line for 6 hours.....
Hybrid would be much more usefull in that case.
I'm just worried about the life expectancy of those batteries. After 5 years they might need to be replaced and they are expensive! So buying a second hand car is risky.
Personally I drive so few miles it's not worth it.

Having multiple apple devices where the batteries end up shite and you need a triple bypass to change it, I see the same being the case with these cars. hopefully they dont become obsolete past 4 operating system updates like apple as well.

What's it like? range etc, any trouble with it? the world is moving onto ebikes pretty fast

Ive been looking at electric bikes recently. So if you go full power you get 37miles app...but you still have to assist with peddling is that correct?

What do you drive? , by Charlie Bronson on Mar 19, 2021 1:41:21 GMT 1, Nice 👌🏻. I’ve always had a soft spot for vans, especially conversions. Absolutely love vans from the 70’s, with a David Mann style mural on the side 👌🏻Many days I’ve spent daydreaming about hitting the road for a month in one, living out of it and sleeping in a different city every night. Couldn’t think of a better way to explore. Maybe one day. In the meantime, I just picked up this new M5 a couple weeks ago. Digging it so far.

I'm so glad they didn't balls up the kidneys like on the 3's!
Thanks! The paint isn’t individual. Funny I’ve been asked that a few times now. It’s called Snapper Rocks Blue. Salesman says it’s the rarest non-individual color in terms of production numbers🤷🏻♂️. Interior is Aragon brown. I just got my first break in service done and I’m now able to go above 5500rpm. AWD with 600hp is a fun combo. It puts the power down with no wheelspin, unless I hit the 2WD button . I agree on the kidney grills. So glad they didn’t do to it what they did to the M3 and M4.

What do you drive? , by lv90210 on Mar 19, 2021 4:09:36 GMT 1, I just took delivery of a Urus and am still getting used to it, chopped a G63 AMG in for it, that was my third G Wagon.
My wife has a GLE 63 AMG S coupe which I steal as often as I can and believe it to be the best car ever made.
I also have a 575m which is currently stored at Maranello in Egham as they believe it to be the finest example in the world ( 2400 miles only on a 05 plate )
I also collect vintage Hot Wheels but that’s another story.

I just took delivery of a 150m yacht. So tired of being in a tiny 120m. New one has a helipad, but my captain still likes the 120m for docking and turning. Whatever, he will figure it out. Also picked up a piece of land on Mars to get on an upcoming SpaceX launch. So tired of earth, but my wife still says it's the best planet. Meh.

What do you drive? , by mrizzle on Mar 19, 2021 9:35:51 GMT 1, Absolutely love the M5 Charlie Bronson. That spec looks spot on too and I totally agree about the beaver teeth on the new M3/4. Looks worse on the M3 though somehow and totally agree with Chris Harris’s views on the styling. It’s very fussy somehow.
lv90210, I really want to see your Urus. I think they look awesome, a car that really does seem to bend the laws of physics. Have you seen the Urban OEM+ aftermarket options? They have some fantastic options that really add a more aggressive look to the car without looking like something from Fast and Furious.
www.urban-automotive.co.uk/urban-range/urus
And an example of one they’ve worked on - www.urban-automotive.co.uk/vehicle/lamborghini-urus-v8-in-milton-keynes-buckinghamshire-af766e7a-fadd-49bd-b10c-d589e1657d76
I’m a total petrolhead and have been since a very young age. I’ll upload my own car later today (though I don’t play in the same class as some of you guys...yet). I want to replace it some time this year or next and am very very torn on what to replace it with.

What do you drive? , by mrizzle on Mar 24, 2021 23:55:57 GMT 1, Never did remember to post my car in the end. Yup, you’ve seen countless ones on the roads if you live in the U.K. but it’s such a stupidly competent car. A Mk7 Golf R which, because I don’t think I’ll ever truly grow up and enjoy a little customisation, I’ve modified slightly but, in my opinion, quite tastefully. Aftermarket alloys were must because VW alloys are appalling, window tints (which I will still argue are for the deflecting sunlight off the children) and a stage 1 map by APR so it’s currently running at around 360hp and 363lbs-ft torque. Bored you all?!
The replacement will be a bit more grown up and I lust after a Porsche Macan (S or GTS) but I don’t think I’ll get there...sadly. Might as well try and enjoy combustion engines before they’re outlawed.
I’m not a “boy racer” (at 38 I can barely still consider myself middle-aged let alone a boy!) but I have always loved cars and driving.

They do have the boy racer appeal and look .digital dash is a nice touch , my friend has a 400bhp upgrade and took me for a spin and was pinned to the seat.a great car out of the box .Always fancied the estate version of these, bit more subtle

I would strongly advise to go for a GTS if possible. It might however be cheaper to go for a S and do a ECU tune and new exhaust. Still not the same complete package as a GTS, but you could add the numbers and see which option is affordable/best for you. Also, remember that Macan holds great value if you pick up one with 2-3 years on its wheels.
Best of luck!

The E golf was fine around town and has a range of around 90 miles, put it on the motorway or anywhere over 60MPH and it would drop to around 60-70 range.
The ID3 has 2 battery sizes. The Tour model has the bigger battery, they say around 330 miles, i would guess it will do about 240 which should be enough for me (hopefully)

Why do they make almost all electric cars look like shit robots?

What do you drive? , by oliver21 on Apr 30, 2021 14:45:38 GMT 1, Ford Fiesta with one wing mirror. It’s a beauty! Are you looking for a quality deal on a second hand car? Well come down to Terry Tibbs motors. Family cars. Talk to me. Luxury cars. Talk to me. While buying an old car, almost everyone is crazy for knowing the vehicle history. If you want to know about the car you’re buying, you can instantly validate the car you would like to purchase with a Quick Rev vehicle history report. It’s a simple and easy process to do a VIN recal number lookup and find out the history of the vehicle. With this, you get information on liens, theft reports, accidents – the entire history of the vehicle you want to buy. Verify the real information on the vehicle against what the seller tells you.

They have some fantastic options that really add a more aggressive look to the car without looking like something from Fast and Furious. www.urban-automotive.co.uk/urban-range/urusAnd an example of one they’ve worked on - www.urban-automotive.co.uk/vehicle/lamborghini-urus-v8-in-milton-keynes-buckinghamshire-af766e7a-fadd-49bd-b10c-d589e1657d76I’m a total petrolhead and have been since a very young age. I’ll upload my own car later today (though I don’t play in the same class as some of you guys...yet). I want to replace it some time this year or next and am very very torn on what to replace it with. Hate the new coupe design, but for some reason the grille works for me on the M3 4 Door. I have an hybrid i8, but I'll be jumping back into an NA next year. It's been a fun car, but I just can't ever get past the sound of an NA Engine (It won't be a BMW, however).
