What do you drive? , by eyectopus on Apr 30, 2021 16:23:03 GMT 1, While buying an old car, almost everyone is crazy for knowing the vehicle history. If you want to know about the car youโre buying, you can instantly validate the car you would like to purchase with a Quick Rev vehicle history report. Itโs a simple and easy process to do a VIN recal number lookup and find out the history of the vehicle. With this, you get information on liens, theft reports, accidents โ the entire history of the vehicle you want to buy. Verify the real information on the vehicle against what the seller tells you. Pity we can't use this for buying artย
It's probably a use case for NFT art ๐

What do you drive? , by ecudat on May 6, 2021 9:46:41 GMT 1, I have an M235i, which I've now had for 5 years (and is 7 years old). Was going to get an M2 Competition last Jan/Feb, but various BMW dealers were useless getting back to me so never got it done and then the pandemic hit. Turned out the idiots saved me a lot of pointless depreciation!
Likely to be looking again later this year. Weighing up if I still want to go M2 Comp or whether a Cayman might do the job (apparently boot space is decent). Of course the loss of 2 seats is the other issue, so also open to ideas...
In the UK btw, before anyone suggests anything too American!

In my opinion, the Sixties was the best decade for car design.
Some of the most iconic car designs were made in that period.

My dream car would be an early sixties E-type.
According to Enzo Ferrari the most beautiful car ever made ๐
If it's curves and imagination that you like, take a look at car designs from the Thirties.

What do you drive? , by RoboJ on Oct 19, 2021 12:15:52 GMT 1, I guess itโs about time to switch to hybrid or 100 percent electric... 100% electric is fine when you use it as a daily driver to work etc. But if you enjoy roadtrips like we do it's rather useless. If I want to visit a show in Paris I would have to spend a night in Brussels to get there. And again on the way back. Instead of driving there in a straight line for 6 hours..... Hybrid would be much more usefull in that case. I'm just worried about the life expectancy of those batteries. After 5 years they might need to be replaced and they are expensive! So buying a second hand car is risky. Personally I drive so few miles it's not worth it. I don't know what ev you're driving but I can attest my model 3 is brilliant for long drives. I've driven to Paris and the south coast many times. The batteries are extremely good, yes they loose a bit of capacity over time but so does a combustion engine.
There are only 3 advantages to combustion.
Price (hopefully not for too long) Heat is a natural by product (because they are so inefficient) You can drive for 5 hours if you really have to (many EV's are not that far behind)
In all other areas, without exception, electric is a superior product to combustion. Efficiency, performance, ecologically, convenience, safety, control, longevity, complexity....

What do you drive? , by esmawhite on Oct 29, 2021 20:23:26 GMT 1, MiniOne. Anyway i don't need to drive much these days. I started to work remotely almost two years ago. All the clothes and home appliances i order online. All my meds and vitamins online pharmacy delivers straight to my door. Visits to my family and friends became less frequent. Life changed so much for these last two years.
